I've been having trouble with this for hours, but I understand now. The only way to fix this is to follow the instructions for "Creating A Blog or Any Archive Template with Elementor Pro". There is a link in the description where it says "Blog". Since the "Posts page" is NOT a regular page, you CANNOT treat it as such. Therefore, whenever you want to edit the Posts page, you have to edit the template (after you've created the template using the instructions above). You can do this by going to "Templates" in left sidebar > "Add New" > CLOSE the window that pops up > Find template that you created > "Edit with Elementor" Hope this helps.

Every time I update elementor, I can no longer edit my pages without knowing this error. I find it painful at the end. Other editors do not have this problem. Because of this, on certain themes I go with Divi or Bakery. Why always have these same problems under Elementor ???
To edit category pages with Elementor, I need to first set permalinks to 'plain', then edit the pages (while every page returns a 404 error, mind you), then set the permalinks setting back to 'site name' when done. I'm not entirely satisfied with this solution.

5:01 trick worked 👍 My shop page was not working before. But now my all custom links changed. And so pages previously cached by Google now in result showing 404 error when someone clicks on them.
Other case I experienced: posts were migrated from another WordPress with another theme (and no page builder), so in wp_post_metadata some posts had (for meta_key='wp_page_template') a meta_value with a PHP file that didn't exist anymore, which triggered the error message. Maybe a check could be added in the code for such cases, to help troubleshoot them.

I use elementor for the homepage only (static homepage). And I also use yoast for SEO. Change the SEO option for the homepage using Yoast especially for meta description and title. But, in the search engine - I found that the meta description is from the first 100 character from the page elementor editor (not from Yoast). Could you please help? And the next problem is, after updating my WP and Yoast SEO, I can't edit the homepage created by Elementor. There also appear error 'updating failed'. I do not know the exact problem. in my case when i switched elementor to safemode the elementor worked again but when i checked my plugins there were not more than 2 plugins one of which is elementor itself and other is advanced custom field. And i deactivated the advanced custom field but the elementor didn't work. in the same way, when i changed the theme the elementor work when i came back to the original theme it didn't work. Could anybody help me?????? I am confused now. what's the error???

The only fix that I've found is to Deactivate Elementor & Elementor Pro and the website goes live in seconds! I have over 20 websites under my license and if this has happened to 1, it could potentially happen to all! I need a fix that doesn't make me deactivate your own plugin! I was able to fix getting this error for the blog post page, only, by going into Settings=>Reading and changing Your Homepage Displays back to Your Latest Posts. I’d previously tried to set at Static Page...maybe that messed it up?

I totally agree with you Niaz Khan. Error messages are themselves an enigma. Always try changing your Permalink setting, save, and change them back the way you want them. This usually works 90% of the time. Still, trying to decipher Elementor's errors is a pain in the *** and sometimes, even experienced web dev can't do it. I think I will be switching to Gutenberg with Astra Pro for, like João Almeida said, I don't want to pay money just to have to go to the pharmacy and buy aspirin because of Elementor or any other paid page builders.

When using Jetpack Boost. Disable this option: "Concatenate JS". Having this enabled breaks the Elementor edit-preview. So make sure "Concatenate JS" is disabled! Took me hours to figure this issue out.

Select your posts page to 'select' under settings>reading. Then create a new blog page with "elementor full width or elementor canvas" under templates section. Easily design your new blog page, using "premium addons" plugin. It worked for me.
The subscription fee is a bargain for what you get, Elementor is still the best WP builder so far but if these compatibility issues becomes regular then we all gonna feel the pain.

It also happened to me on the site I have, but I noticed that it was the WordPress update from 5.1.1 to 5.2.2 and in this case I went back to the previous update, that is, from 5.2.2 to 5.1.1 and returned to normal operation, for new sites I'm installing version 5.1.1. The strange thing is that there were no configurations on the server, new plugins in Wordpress, nothing, gave error and done! Now I'm using this version until I fix this bug, if corrected.
My blog posts page won't allow me to edit in elementor as before. I've tried changing theme, deactivating all plugins, activated safe mode. I was able to edit after changing theme, but when I changed it back to OceanWP, happened again. Wow. 10 minutes on how to fix one of an endless array of errors on can encounter in Word Press. Using WP to build a website is like landing on another planet and trying to build a civilization from scratch. A platform that 1/3 of ALL websites in the world are built upon should not be so laden with bugs. It seems there is a lack of good coders in the world. Do people not proof read their code? There should be something like spellchecker that checks code for errors. The amount of errors that exist in the world of computers is so counterproductive. We need AI to take over from humans because humans are just naturally prone to making mistakes.
I am getting "The preview could not load due to the response being incomplete." I accidentally deleted a plugin and cannot remember the name of it. I believe this is why I am getting this message. I have tried your methods but still cannot fix the problem... I am guessing that if I find and reinstall the deleted plugin it will work. How can I find the name of the deleted plugin? I bought Elementor Pro and I find it so unfortunate that these things happen, especially since it is a paid plugins, and with all your team and programmers you do not foresee this type of error, the solutions you present are so superficial and it is up to me Try to solve it by other means. I started working with a tab inside others and svg type elements and it immediately began to generate 505 errors. The error seems exaggerated to me and that you do not have a contingency plan for this type of case. Incredible! Thanks for charging but not for providing solutions.

I am getting "The preview could not load due to the response being incomplete." I accidentally deleted a plugin and cannot remember the name of it. I believe this is why I am getting this message. I have tried your methods but still cannot fix the problem... I am guessing that if I find and reinstall the deleted plugin it will work. How can I find the name of the deleted plugin?
