Parallel parking in California is 18 max inches from the curb not, "no more than 12"..it's good to have your manual by you and confirm these answers plus it will help you know the correct answers for Your states questions
I just took the test and I passed thank you so much for this video really recommend this video if you are having a hard time struggling to read the book . Again Thank you DMV Advantage.
This is a good test to practice just remember that in the actual test the questions are completely randomized so practice on multiple videos. Am 18 so the test had 36 questions but if you’re 17 and under your test will be 46 questions and you can only get 6 (over 18) wrong and 8 (under 17) wrong, and if you fail the test you can take it again right away up to 3 times. If you fail and you’re 17 and under you will have to wait to take it again not sure how long. And just make sure you understand the questions because they might be reworded. And make sure you go over the drivers hand book and if you’re to lazy to read just search up california drivers handbook audio and sit back, relax and listen. And there are no tricky questions.
I just scheduled my renewal for next week and good thing I read in the email it said I’d have to re take a written test?! I had no idea and am a much better visual/audio learner than just reading, Definitely going to watch this a few times before my apt.
I just passed it, first time. I found that none of these that I studied were even covered. Hardly any about lanes, speed zones, signage, regulations. Many were about bicycle laws & criminal charges about DUI, probation, BAC. Those made me scratch my head except for BAC legal limit. Missed 2 though.
Question # 6 states how far away from the curb should you parallel park. Your answer is "No More than 12 inches" However the DMV 2023 handbook states "Your vehicle should be Parallel parked within 18 inches of the curb (page 28). So which is the right answer?
QUESTION #55: If your headlights suddenly go out, what should you do? Answer A is correct ONLY if you driving at night or in bad weather. If BOTH of my headlights went out at the same time during daylight hours with excellent visibility, there would be NO NEED for me to use my fog lights, hazard lights, or parking lights.
@@wisegoddess8224 (#1) You can visually see with your own two eye's to confirm if one or both headlights are out and not working. (#2) During daylight hours you can pull up close to the vehicle in front of you and see if one or both headlights are working by seeing the reflection from the cars paint in front of you. I do that every day while driving during the day time, evening, and at nighttime.
I never understood you should never go past the speed limit yet they say go the same speed as the flow of traffic, so if everyone is going 70 in a 60 I should go 70 right
well, they told us to study the dmv handbook. But, none of these questions related to the book. How would they expect us to answer them correctly then?
question 41 says we can use High Bean Headlights when driving in the fog others video clips does not recommend states that high beam reflects... Which one is correct?
@viviennebeveridge2720 well I just recently took my written test for my DL. There was only 25 questions and I could miss 5 and still pass. I only missed 2. WOOHOO.........This was a 2023 test. Just a week and a half ago.
This is a serious question: I have had my CDL for over 4 decades without any traffic violation ticket. When I renewed my CDL about 4 years ago, I was required to take the written test. When asked, the DMV workers involved were not able to provide any answer.
Curious. Do you still drive or did you change your address recently? Like you I've had a driver's license for 45 years but ridded myself of my car but resided in the same house for 23 years. The state send me renewal forms to fill out and sent me a written extension to my license without having to make an appointment, stand on line and wait to test at my local DMV. Call your state representative and make a complaint, unless you like to wait for the DMV civil servants not to know the answer to a rather simple question. For $35 I guess it's what an ignorant and uninformed answers costs in California nowadays.
I have to take the written test and I think it's because I turned 70 last year. My wife just renewed her license and she didn't but she's not 70 yet. So I think mine was age related. My dad go his renewed with the written test at 96...probably should have had to take the driving test too....
I was required to take the knowledge test too because they said I applied to renew too early so they had me return closer to my license expiration date to avoid retaking the test (after already failing) and when I followed that advice, i was told I had to retake the test still because I didn't get an invite in mail to renew my license within the 90 day window of the expiration of my license. I asked why didn't I get an invite, and one employee said DMV chooses drivers at random to take the test.
I got my letter in the mail and it said I had to take knowledge test.. I called dmv to get information on taking the test cause all the other renewals I've done was just a hazmat written.. when I got there they handed me all 7 written tests.. calling dmv was no help california is terrible only state if u fail 1 test 3 times that's it all 7 right back handed to you
California tests again at 70. They can also give a very strict eye test. Made me read the tiniest letters first. The truth is the top 2 larger rows is all the require to pass. They tricked me & since I did my eye test with the viewer they blacked the screen when I did the right eye. When I told them it wasn’t illuminated they claimed it was and failed me!
.........really?.......... really?.........I 'bout bust a gut laughing at one point in this wonderful video. A question involving intersections was asked and 4 answers were offered. One of the answers offered was "Have a 'free for all' . I won't tell you if it was correct either! 🤣🤣🤣♥♥♥
I took written the exam and passed but they gave me only 2 months permit learner license ..this is very nonsense..ca dmv is very vague and strict about the rules.
