    N.T. is one of the best narrators who has a wide range of voices for his story telling. One of my favorite channels to listen to.

    More wilderness stories from the magnificently talented Skott? Fucking beautiful man. Thank you so much for treating us to this level of quality for free here on TH-cam.

    A cautionary tale; only fools indulge greed and tempt fate twice! Excellent story ✌️

    NaturesTemper and Dark Somnium are the best narrators. I also love a story that doesnt have to have a gruesome tragic ending

    I spent nearly the whole story as worried as the protagonist, because there was a dog in the story. Only because I've been listening to Nature's Temper for a long time do I know that dogs are safe on this channel. But it still had my heart strings all pulled tight.
    When I was a young boy, our family spent nearly every summer in Northern Minnesota. My grandfather had built a log cabin by a lake at the edge of a vast forest. When I was a kid, we would sleep in the screen porch and listen to the wind in the pine trees, and often hear timber wolves howl. But once in a while, the night would go silent, and then you would hear the most shocking murder scream ever. We call them Cougars, because there aren't mountains in Minnesota. But even miles away, a mountain lion scream will make your hair stand up. Despite the forest still being there, and no large cities for hundreds of miles, the amount of human disturbance in the area has led to a greatly lessened presence of such large predators. They don't want to get run over by 4 wheelers, either.

    That gold panner has it arse about face: it sounds like the bigger beast had been protecting him and his dog from the ape creature. After falling to scare them off, it killed the ape creature and herded them out.

    8:20 this is not how dogs, or bears, act in these circumstances. That's my only criticism.

    • @laughingmask3118
      @laughingmask3118 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      9:08 bear was more realistic by this point and dog was less.

    • @laughingmask3118
      @laughingmask3118 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      9:35 this would NEVER happen. Absolutely 0% chance.
      In these situations the bear would go berserk and the dog would get you killed without helping you out a lick. I LOVE dogs but they are absolute rubbish against bears and almost all bear-related fatalities in the US per year happen because a dog triggered a bear into a rage and then left their human owner to suffer the consequences

      You're the type of person that doesn't believe in magic or the spirits of the wilds I take it.

    The creature you encountered is merely awaiting it's tithe from those who take from it's land. You were given just enough to let you tell this tale. Had you allowed greed to overtake your common sense, I firmly believe you would have been it's portion. If you allow others to visit this land, they may not be as fortunate as you. Take your due and forsake the rest...

    I’m halfway thru the story … I don’t wanna continue because I’m so afraid something’s gonna happen to Samson. I went and read all the comments… To see if anyone would say anything about Sampson… Nothing 🙄
    So… I will cautiously continue 🫣

    Fantastic story, Skott, thank you. Can I ask one thing of you? Never narrate another story like "Don't mess with the war dogs" ever again. I enjoy your channel and your narration immensely, but come on man, really? That ruined the entire rest of my day after listening to that and I came close to unsubing. I figured that you, being the natural protector and bringer of awareness to all things animal and natural that you are, you performed that story just to make us all aware that monsters like the priest in that story are real and should be dealt with just as harshly. That said, please keep up the good work.
