Is life in prison worth the cost of a divorce- what is wrong with the greed of these people that they would rather go for life imprison than pay the wife!
It is not just a wife, it's a promiscuous evil wife. Will you be willing to lose millions to someone who enjoyed your money while with you doing all sorts of evil and when you divorce gets your millions? It's not so much about the money, but who gets it?

Depends on state laws. In California, yes - 50/50. If state law doesn't require it then it depends on the existence of a prenuptial agreement. Then it depends on the length of the marriage AND who has the sharpest & most rapacious lawyer.
The law must be seriously reconsidered regarding the financial rights of divorced 'trophy wives'. In part, these cases are what I would term as being: 'nomogenic'. That is to say, partly caused by an unjustified bias towards otherwise penniless spouses.
John, the wife-killer: the detectives found out the wife was cheating, and they were ready to take the husband's story of self-defence. He killed her because he could not perform in bed.

In some states of Australia, the law is no body, no parole. Maybe USA states can copy that. Gets some crims to tell where the body is.

The problem is not the divorce… it’s the fact that they have to SHARE property and money, that’s where the issue is.
