Also what conditions should I be using heavier or lighter jigs?

normally when we will use a heavier jig is when the current is strong or the boat is drifting too fast... heavier jig will allow it to sink faster and stay on the spot longer so will have greater chance to catch a fish... where lighter jig is when the condition current or weather conditions is good or the fish prefer to taking something smaller, then u can use a lighter jig

為什麼釣魚虎的時候會支持釣后放但是在海上釣魚的時候不會這樣做呢？

你说的鱼虎我猜应该是toman（多曼鱼），多曼鱼它在马来西亚适合它生存的自然环境不多导致它的数量不会很多所以会支持钓后放，海鱼目前来说大多的鱼种的数量还是足够鱼群繁殖后代的需求，但有些海鱼种如在马来西亚的云冰或北根海域钓获的旗鱼都是必须钓后放。其实通常情况下海钓不会导致鱼类灭种反而更需要关注捕鱼船的过度捕捞比如使用比政府规定口径还小渔网和大范围的拖底捕捞方式等等

海魚假如是深水區的會因被快速拉上來而被水壓變化弄傷內臟而影響存活率
其實有些海魚是可以釣後放，不過棲息於深水的魚種釣後放可能性較低更不用說一般海釣是以食用為目的
