It was wrong of SI to push pre-orders out when they would've known there was no way the game was coming out in November. What SHOULD happen now is they update FM24 as a goodwill gesture and skip 25 entirely before bringing out a polished version of FM26. Really feel for content creators though at a time like this. Sickening for them who rely on views for income.
Agree, but they can’t skip a game as they rely on the revenue from selling a game every year or they struggle financially. The goodwill update they should still do in my opinion.
At this point, I'm almost leaning towards them just scrapping FM25, releasing an official update to FM24, and focusing on making FM26 the best it can be. But they probably can't do that due to financial reasons. Disappointing, but it sounds like a delay is for the better.
Yeah that’s exactly it, they rely on releasing a game every year as a studio otherwise they risk going under. An official update would be very nice as an olive branch.
Definitely a good thing rather than another Cyberpunk-esque release but the way SI have have gone about it is disappointing. Hopefully this means you're going to start new challenges to see us through to March? I've been addicted to the Torino and Slagelse playthroughs
This is basically the price they pay for changing the game engine. I'm a developer and did some games with Unity and I've been there on a much lower scale. I was expecting a lot of bugs due to change of technology but that is a disaster for them and for players.
Whats the point to buy in on March since three months later the season 2024-2025 ends… Years now the exciting of the game was the new upcoming season with the new transfers and the updated characteristics of the players, my opinion is that even November was already late, all the leagues already started since Sept .
well my logic here will be that like it or not next year will need to be delayed, or that next years will be cancelled because clearly they are not going to be able to develop a subsequent title ie 2026 in six months... it'll be either a roster update or skipped altogether for fm27......but i guess it is what it is..
It's a bit annoying, but inevitable. I'm not really overly surprised, and I think the delay is the right thing to do if the game isn't quite right, but I'm disappointed by SI's poor communication around all of this. And agree - they have to absolutely smash FM25 now. It genuinely has to be the best game they've ever created. No pressure!
Yeah the fact they put out a roadmap and allowed people to pre order and then do this is very bad. They have to pull up a log of trees to win people back going forward.
I am disappointed, but I respect the decision to delay until March 2025, as it will likely give us a more polished game than an unfinished product they have right now
@@LewisH90 yeah being late once is a nightmare for both their cashflow and their pipeline. Having zero knowledge of their business I'm just making this up but it would seem to make sense to me if they can release some kind of official update to FM24 at a reduced price to get some money in, keep the wolves from the door, they release FM25 in March and then FM26 hopefully at the beginning of next season. It would be good if they could align the regular release with the beginning of the season followed with a patch for transfers after the deadline, or at least release it straight after the deadline there's no good reason why it takes so long after the season has started. They could use the time between March and August as one big testing phase and treat FM25 as a beta for FM26, they'd have to make that clear and charge less than the £45 price point (which means they probably won't) then tweak it for transfers and bugs for FM26.

Agree that it's the best thing, i'd rather the game be good rather than releasing a bad one
100%

Could this mens that The Slagelse Series Will continue?😊 go for World domination
Haha sorry man. The aim is always win the domestic league and the Champions League and we did that! 😂

im gonna be able to start a build a nation now. im disapointed, but i agree that it is the best action to take. i just wish they comunicated better
Couldn’t agree more. Good luck in your build a nation. Which one you going with?
@@LewisH90 Poland. Less restrictions for loans and so on
In that case why not just skip 25 and on to 26 directly? What’s the point of releasing when season is at its end?
That's enough for me I m carrying on with fm24
Same, I’m enjoying FM24 too.
Thankfully FM24 is really good. I'm happy to play FM24 and wait for them to make FM25 as good as it can be.
I agree I’m enjoying FM24! As long as they make it the best one ever I’ll be fine!

Yeah it’s not a great situation, I wonder what people will feel like buying it at the end of the real life season like you say.

so couple more weeks turn into 5 month , half then price si? what a lot of bs
Yeah I wonder if they do reduce the price, interesting.

Yeah exactly, it better be amazing as well haha!
No point in buying it in March
If FM26 is released in November 2025, you’re paying then for an 8 month game. It’s a bad situation for them to get out of.
