It does have automatic high beams, I own this truck you have to hold the high beams towards you for 40 seconds to turn the system on for the first time. After that it will have auto highbeams every time the trucks lights are in auto.
@@MikesCarInfo I had to look it up online, but I also asked my dealer when I bought the truck, because it’s listed that all ridgelines come with auto highbreams, but u couldn’t figure it out at first. It’s kinda stupid, after 40 seconds the auto light will flash once and that’s how you know it’s on.
I've watched a road test of this vehicle since 2017 and you do a great job on all your reviews of this Honda Ridgeline God bless you and your family and thank you for all the info
I love the lighting focus, great idea. Very informative. I'm shopping for a Black Edition because I want to try the ventilated seats. I've heard it is a nice feature.
Love my 2024 Black Edition, but I am very disappointed in the lighting, overall. With an MSRP of $48k, there should not be any halogen lighting anywhere, in my opinion. The BE does have more LEDs than this model, but the high beams, turn signals, side markers, tag lights, front door puddle lights and interior dome/vanity lights are all cheap looking halogen. Also, the red ambient lighting inside is so dim it's almost pointless. I decided to upgrade the high beams, interior, tag lights and puddles to LED, and will also upgrade the turns soon. I know this is an older design, but Honda did refresh it for 2024, so they should have updated ALL of the lighting to LED.
@@84Tacos Just refer to the owner's manual to determine the correct bulb type for each location. I ordered the replacement LEDs on amazon, but be sure to choose good quality bulbs, as many amazon options are cheap garbage that will not last. Lasfit and DiodeDynamics make excellent LEDs, but there are many good brands.
I would disagree on the interior red lighting being too dim. If it was any brighter I would be ripping out the fuse/bulbs. It's meant to be ambient lighting only, not light the foot well so you can see in HD. I've swapped all my bulbs except the fog lights to LED now and I'm happy. Only wish I could do the front map lights.
At 10:24 you say no automatic high-beams, but your Monroney label at the end shows that you do have that feature. I just got my '24 BE and I'm disappointed in the auto-headlight feature. Coming from a Toyota where it worked flawlessly, this is a huge disappointment.
I have a 2024 Ridgeline TS in radiant red 2.. the best color IMO. This trim & I believe the BE trim (& possibly all trims) actually do have auto high beam headlights. However.. when you have your fog lights on, this defeats/overrides the auto high beam headlight on feature.
@@americandude3825 I believe 2025/2026 will have a refresh. I'd expect it to look like Hondas upgraded front ends... like the Pilot/Accord/CRV/HRV/Civic.
I have the Honda Ridgeline 2024 Sport recently but I can’t find anything how to turn the stripes line in the front . Can you tell me please how you do it ?
I like the led on my TrailSport, but it presents a very expensive replacement should the LED unit fail. $15 for a halogen vs. $400 for a new headlight assembly
I have a 2023 and I absolutely hate what they’ve done putting in a basic small instrument gauge cluster like the Civic’s in the 2024. They also took away the RTL-E and to get the 520 watt sound in the RTL-E you have to upgrade to top of the line Black Edition. Then after 7 years they finally add power folding mirrors when my 2013 Kia had them. Cheap shots Honda.
THE REASON THERE ARE NO LIGHTS WHEN YOU REMOTE START IS TO PREVENT THEFT .. IN SOME CITIES ( LIKE TACOMA, WA) IT IS A MISDEMEANOR TO LEAVE A CAR RUNNING TO WARM IT UP, SO LIGHTS OFF WILL NOT LET CAR THIEVES KNOW A CAR IS RUNNING...
We don't have those gov problems here. A thief cannot steal a remote-started vehicle, doors are still locked and the ignition is locked until the key is inside. I would at least like to have the option to have a light on in the settings. That way people like you can turn it off and people like me can turn it on.

Very non-intuitive way of turning the system on. How did you find out about it?

Hey Mike 😊 thanks a lot for this night time presentation 😊 love it 👍
Thanks for making this! That jam at the end was perfect!
You are the best! Ty for showing the detailed lighting on the Ridgeline. Despite some halogens, overall I really like the truck… Will order soon 😎

Purchased a B/E for the ventilated seats if you live in the South (Ga) you need them the B/E has other extra features that make it worth the extra $$$

The sport DRL's are the high beams on a lower voltage. I think you have to get the RTL, TS, or BE trim levels to have the LED DRLs.

You can turn it back off by holding the remote start button again.
