Holy shit! I've been listening to this song since it came out in the 1970s and THIS is the only cover worthy to stand toe to toe with the original I've ever heard! Bravo!!!

Oh my God that is insane!!! I've never seen anyone play this song the way you guys did. Especially the guitar part. The Who used a synthesizer with ta repeater to do this and you just did it with bare hand......That's awesome!
Now that's how you stick it to the syth guys. Nice Telecaster work, excellent vocal work, and overall a great cover. Everyone knows this song due to CSI, and I'm no exception, but I appreciate the "classics". You guys put some passion into it. Kick ass.

Great cover as always. All of you are incredible musicians, but special props to the bass player on this one. Entwistle is not the easiest bassist to emulate and his unique style really gave the Who their sound IMHO. That was fantastic. Cheers from Canada.

Hard to cover a 'feel' drummer, everything they do is so unorthodox, yet cool, and works, and bass gone feed from the drums... you're right, of course, Moon and Entwistle were doing incredible things. But this is respectable, as you said . 👍

For those asking about the tone on the intro I'm going to give it a try and describe it as best I could from what it sounds like to me as a guitar player myself. Telecaster bridge pickup Volume knob lowered half way Clean bright tone set to high mid , High treble on amp A little bit of crunch distortion mixed with the clean tone A little bit of wah pedal And probably a little fuzz fx or a phaser or both Some reverb and as soon as the intro is about to finish it sounds as if he highers the volume on guitar to bring out the heaviness of the distortion and wah.
Hey man, kudos! It's actually much more simple: The volume on the guitar is full on trough the intro to preserve the highs. It's just dynamics and finger vs pick attack. The amp is set to a mild crunch/breakup on the "less drive" channel. Delay in the fx loop and amp's own reverb. Phaser set to a slow rate. No distortion or fuzz boxes, I just used a booster when needed so it's basically the amp doing all the work.
