I got the same sled I use for bringing firewood into the house in the winter and for camping/ outings. I put a longer paracord pull on it with a piece of garden hose for a handle knotted on both sides!
I have the same sled for winter outings. Sure makes carry the extra gear easy! I had an elastic slip cover made for mine to keep everything inside and out of the elements.
I bought also that sled to be our second sled. I'm just going to make pulling device from cord and electric pipes. (like this one: caide.kuvat.fi/blog/26/Making+a+sled+under+100+euros/) Works great, I tested it 5 days at cross-country skiing trip. Now I'm going to Finnish Lapland and Going to cross-country ski at the wilderness for one week. I have also my winter fishing gears with me and I think, I'm going to dig my shelter to the snow and maybe use tarp for the roof...
There I was blaming my inability with a computer & Colorado Clyde asked the right question Thanks Joe & Clyde. I'm looking forward to the long edition. Thanks Brian nearing 76
Joe, carry your TK on you. I got the longer Pelican sled which came with a longer rope. Works great to haul things from the store and packages from the post. Can't wait to see the whole trip report
You can tell you have experience - every trip you do your gear is streamlined and I like how you always change up your kit beside the essenetional. Trial and error. Great job on the sled.
Thanks Joe love that you are always putting out videos. I enjoy all of them and I am taking notes. I am doing some trips this summer and fall and I am a newbie lol. So thanks for all that you share...can't wait for the next video...!!
great work dude, looking forward to the full video, it's crazy watching you guys pulling sleds around beciase of the snow. in the UK we get very little if any in our area. have a good en, peace out
This awesome bushcraft channel and those videos of bushcraft are awesome and fantastic and please support this amazing man and super awesome bushcraft channel
LOL, full on snow for this vid.. 15 today, rough sledding. Peche island Joe, the ducks are coming. My fav secret place in spring. Hay just a thought. Maybe do a Jack Miner's video?
Me wants more as well! Joe thinking cap on, develop your own seat stall just for your welfare, also needed a saw easel could do with the introduction? Possibly. Cheers
I have heard to use that too, and do on my clothes, but am going to have a more permanent location back on my property for the grandkids and myself to camp. Thinking something to cover the whole area of the camp. I'll let you know what works after I experiment. Tks!
Excellent! No 2016 Winter in Dallas, Texas. Wat say ye for Bushcraft Texas style 2016! Recommend the "Salt Life" bushcraft vid ! Seriuosly. kinda wish the climate evened out to experience the bush crafting you do.
hey great video as always thanks! i did want to let you know that MSR recalled that avalanche shovel due to the bottom lock failing, not sure if you use it in the mountains but just figured id give you a heads up in case you do or plan to!
Really like your videos and enjoy watching your bushcraft stuff. But have you thought about using an additional portable microphone? Would be awesome... currently I always have to tune up/tune down the volume wether you're near or far to the cam. Pls don't get me wrong, great videos anyways!
Hey Joe, I've noticed your answer on the other video that moment when I deleted my comment to repost it here... thought it would be more suitable beneath this one. Anyways... I've noticed that you were using a new microphone the last vids, much better quality. But it still depends wether you're near or far. What about a microphone to stick to your cloth, so the volume would always be the same and we - as spectators - could be with you all the time. Think this could lift you up to the next level in production quality. Great videos and great pictures anyways, always a pleasure to watch your stuff, keep going! :-)
I really like the music in the intro, I know it doesn't really fit with the feel of your typical videos but I do like it alot just thought you'd want feedback, I love your videos either way though
+JoeRobinetBushcraft o, hope you understood fully loaded sleeping bag inside as a seat off course 😂 little bit unnecessary to sit on just the nylon 'or what's it made of' (forgive my English,it's not the best anymore sins high school as a foreign language here + it is currently 02:53) but greetings from here and off course to your family also 😃
Hey Joe. I'm just starting to hike/ camp. What is a good pack to start with? I was thinking about the maxpedition condor which I saw on one of your videos. I would be starting out camping overnight one or two nights and want to carry a one person tent and food and water.
+Jay Aldridge If you have small, lightweight gear, then the condor, but if you think you may have trouble fitting all your stuff into the condor, then go the xantha route.
Mike 1969 I live on the mountain as well! There seems to be a lot of untouched woodland just off of the Bruce Trail! Feel free to check out some of my videos to get a feel for the area I'm from.
How did those Baffin boots hold up when you were lounging around camp?? Im looking for a pair of boots that i can just kick back and relax around camp and still have warm feet when im in sub zero temps...... By the way, GREAT VIDEO!!!
I like that you are more and more into Swedish gear. Fjällräven, Hestra and axes. Good load out. Good you remided me of a showel. Thanks! Thanks for sharing! /Ulrica ( from Sweden ha ha) By ther way; If you ever wonder how I would pronounce those brand names just check out my channel and look for videos called Swedish for bushcrafters
Would you recommend those Baffin Endurance boots? I'm looking to do some winter camping, but can't decide on footwear. Are they hard to walk in? I mean like, could you do three-four hours hikes with them?
The production quality on the videos recently is unreal! Every video leaves me wanting more.
+Der Tintinfish nice!

Spending saturday evening drinking beer and watching these videos. Far more better than anything on TV.
I got the same sled I use for bringing firewood into the house in the winter and for camping/ outings. I put a longer paracord pull on it with a piece of garden hose for a handle knotted on both sides!
Looking forward to the full video Joe !
Wow.....you pretty much eliminated any need for questions. Great videos. They are only getting better.
I have the same sled for winter outings. Sure makes carry the extra gear easy! I had an elastic slip cover made for mine to keep everything inside and out of the elements.
+Weiderfan great idea. Thanks!

Nice load out, can't wait for the trip vid. Is the pelican sled one of the snow machine or atv purpose sleds? John

Hey Joe do you think or have you given any thought to doing anymore trips to B.C. ?
Dave B
Now all you need is some dogs to pull you. lol Very Good Joe! Also you need to drag Doug out again for some fun. Bob
I have seen someone used the compression sac to sit on it by a campfire, that's maybe also an idea for you? Or did you already used it that way?
+Kruimel's Channel I have not, no.

Not a bush craft question, but what do you do for a living?
Joe wanted to ask how strong your Adventure Sworn tip was on the Mountaineer?
+aHigher Power very, I beat that thing tip first into many pieces of wood.
Nice I ordered on in convex grind so I'm hoping the tip will still be strong.
Good stuff
Buddy

Do you wax your keb trousers before going out in the snow?
OK Bring it on... Minus 14 degrees? Is that C or F...
+mobiltec C
JoeRobinetBushcraft Oh that's only 6.8 degrees F... Not real bad really. I have slept in that kind of cold before.
yup, as have I, coldest being -40c.
No questions, carry on.
+nothempseedaddict ;)
