Before you complete the frame you can put any serial number you want on it yourself (if you want) because it's not a gun. It does not need to follow a specific number pattern at this point. A fully completed frame would. The question is is it then transferable through an FFL with any serial number you put on it prior to completion?

Would make it more worth it to buy since you can make some money back on it for engraving, optic cutting and possibly milling pockets on the sides of the magwell. Then it'd definitely be worth the dough, for personal use you'd have to make lots of lowers for yourself to be worth it. I think this is more for tinkering, which I like.

A friend of mine just got his gg3 this week and is having problems with the circuit probe. Did everything on the company FAQ page and its still ruining his chunks of metal. Can someone please point me to some gg3 forums so I can get some help? Thanks.
I had to run a tap through my grip bolt hole to clean the threads to improve the probe’s conductivity to the lower. Then it quit crashing into my lower right near the bolt catch groove and worked properly.

I recently sold a colt m16a1 80 percent lower just like this guys for 3x the price of what I paid for it. There use to be a few guys that sold lowers engraved how ever you wanted till colts scummy lawyers got involved. Fuck colt as a company they hate civilians anyway.

I’m prepared to pay very good money to you or anyone else who can do artwork of personal value for me I don’t have a GG and wouldn’t know how to use one if I had access to one, so I’m prepared to pay good money to someone who does.

I've done 1911 frames slides magazines and of course lowers . One thing that ppl should know is that when engraving the anodizing likes to chip out best to use a raw lower.

You had better cross your Ts and dot your Is getting your affirs in order to get an ffl before you try to start transfering items you have made.

I am no lawyer, but people have been taking their guns to engravers forever. I would be amazed if they had to have any licenses.

ATF tried going after someone for doing that and ended up dropping the case. It's a yes from me but someone people may be more skittish.
