I am reacting today to some of the legendary Bollywood songs that have been copied from other music or flipping an old sample.
Some portions have been cut due to copyright issues but most of the video is as it is.

not gonna lie, as someone whose tried making an original melody, its quite a difficult task..
we don't know whats out there, thousands of languages and billions of songs and folk lore's. even if i make something that i believe is an original, it may sound a copied version to someone after few decades if something close to my work has already been published and i simply wasn't aware of it.
due to this line of thinking, i stopped blaming people for copying lol, people do crappy things to fill their belly and music is not an easy industry.

Agreed, there are lots of copyright issues but we also can't deny the fact that we're been unfair by judging the whole song on just a sentence and on just one note (some are just similar not copied)

Some music could have just coincidentally comes out to be the same . Prabhu deva 's video song "Urvashi" 's tune is exactly the same as Bruno Mars' "Its my birthday song" . I don't think Bruno Mars copy it .
It's my birthday is by Will I Am and he has sung in the beginning, "New Urvashi" using the AR Rahman Sample for tribute.
The Lucky Lucky Me Was An Adaption Of An Italian Folksong "Tarantella Napoletana"
Pretty woman was adapted, they mention it at the start of the credits for the song. I think they got permission to use the song, they bought the rights as far as i can remember. Good video though, appreciate your views on the rest of the songs.

13:!4 Actually the original song was not Lucky lucky, that was teh first modern adaptation in 1950, teh original composition of this was in teh XVII and XVIII century, the song name is Tarantella Napoletana, an italian folk song.
