It's definitely up there for me. I have more fun transforming this than I do Space Bumblebee, and while I have more fun posing that, this has the more playable altmode.

One thing that doesn’t get enough praise is the blacked out windows. It looks SOOOO much better than the disgusting clear windows that hasbro insists on still using. Also the yellow actually matches now. Win Win
Honestly I love the clear windows because I feel like they give both modes a lot more depth. My favorite example being the 86 van mold. I will say though that the blacked out windows are superior to the blue like on the legacy autobot 5 pack.

This is may be the first time for me where I think it captures a character and his personality on the show perfectly, with also wanting little me to actually play with it instead of displaying it in a cabinet.
I totally understand where you are comming from with that. One of the rare figures that's a great desk toy while being such a good rendition of the character.
There’s a scene halfway G1 S1 Episode 4, where for a whole extended shot, Bumblebee is in car mode and looks EXACTLY like this 86 figure. I got this the other day and love it. I just wish the paint matching was a bit better
My Walmart got this guy in on time for once and I flipped out. My entire day was made finding this dude and got a nice spot on my shelf. Very fun figure! 10/10

This is a figure I’ve just been casually picking up and messing with from time to time, there’s times where I just carry it around the house so I have something to mess with, he’s basically the perfect modern minibot
5:37 the fact that I was able to transform without referring to the manual much just showcase how well engineered the figure is and design team did a good job
I love how this figure looks with the Core Class Spike, and I can't wait to see him with 86 Prime. Its so cute and enjoyable, I'm actually kinda looking forward to the inevitable Cliffjumper.

He also has an unintentional toe up if you use the transformation joint on his foot. It has to clear something and there's a little bit of resistance, but you can also click it back into place with no issue. It's really useful for getting running poses.

It's not a cop out. 86 Bumblebee is the best and most accurate G1 style Bumblebee possible without fauxforming. Because man the proportions in the cartoon was physically impossible, the chest is too small to be an actual car roof and the lower legs are too thick to simply tuck into the alt mode.
I’m pretty sure this little guy is meant to be everywhere, which should give everyone a chance to pick one up and finally get a perfect G1 Chug Bumblebee!
How you describe this thing is exactly how I felt when I got the Animated Bumblebee from legacy. Just a fun little toy that doesn’t do anything outstanding but doesn’t really have any faults either. A perfect “toy”.
Anyone else have a squeeze factor with this guy, trying to get him into car mode and his sides are uneven and refuse to tab together on both sides, like if one tabs the other untabs.
I do have the playdough factor to an extent, but it sits mostly flat for me, so the sides not pegging in how they are supposed to doesn't really look like anything is wrong.
This figure shows that it really isn’t that hard to make an unlicensed VW Bug approximation. I don’t get why this is something we haven’t gotten until now.
So I just discovered you can use the blast effects from the ss86 exo suit spike and they’re a perfect fit. It kinda makes it feel this and that figure really were made for each other.
I got the Netflix Bumblebee because I prefer the darker yellow and black, same with Cliffjumper I think the darker colours look better And partsforming doesn’t bother me, I understand why people don’t like it, I just don’t care about it
I have some bad luck. I didn't even complain about it but like 3 weeks ago, I accidentally stabbed my self in the hand typing to put a knife away. Luckily it wasn't the sharpest knife I have so it didn't make it very deep.
I've seen basically a lot of people crap on this from pics, and a lot of people genuinely like it once they have it in hand. I assume its because the rear of the vehicle isnt "Volkswagon-ey" but I digress. I think it looks good, the color matching looks nice, and they went hard giving him very cartoony feet.
I don't know that I'd say the back is what's doing it, though I do really like the back of the altmode, I think it's just that all the seam lines show up less under your eyes than they do under camera.

I can finally be at peace knowing that the ER cliffjumper mold, which is the figure i despise the most, has no reason to exist anymore considering that 86 bee is better in basically every way.

I love ER Cliffjumper for personal reasons but this looks absolutely wonderful, and fortunately both scale pretty good with each other so I will finally have both G1 versions without sharing any part like it was always intended

I can see this being a future retool into the lesser known mini-bot Bumper. The compact car, much like the core class figure, is there. Just a new head and new colors and slight retooling and you have the underrated mini-bot
After reading a bunch of the Image Transformers comics, I've come to really like Cliffjumper. I also really like the look of this Bumblebee (and your review shows how great it is), so when they inevitably recolor and remould this figure into Cliffjumper, I will be very happy. ^^

3:18 I liked how accurate the vehicle mode was for Netflix Bee. Gave me a happy to see a Transformer turn into a licensed car again. Reminded me when that was a more common thing.
I was just on vacation and Kingdom Rhinox can still be found in some stores there. It's hilarious because it's priced at $45 so it's literally never selling. They also did have 2 Beast Megatron's so i picked one of those up because I've wanted the figure for a while and never found it while Kingdom was around. Oh also great Bumblebee 👍

I like him more and more. Today I showed him to my wife in the kitchen and stayrd to help with dinner, so I just *put him in my pocket* and I just realized now after dinner that he'd been in there the whole time. I'd be afraid of breaking a core, and an average Deluxe is usually still a little too big and awkward. It's *nice* to have a Transformer I can just... put in my pocket.

I'm glad it's the right color. For some reason whenever Bumblebee has a Beetle alt mode they make him a weirdly dark color that's closer to ochre. The MP did that and the Netflix/ER did that. Also the upside down chest on Netflix Bumblebee just made me irrationally angry. 😅 That one's definitely going up for sale.

A bit further up woulda been nice. Articulation is pretty great. Fun transformation. Rolls like a dream. Solid buy, overall. Especially since mine was only 21 USD.
In the pics, the feet looked a bit big, but in person, they aren't! I give mine the Origins Bumblebee pistol and have him dual wield- Unfortunately, mine has some issues where the feet won't plug in properly otherwise one of the wheels won't be in the ground, but beyond that it's perfect
Netflix Bumblebee is kind of obsolete now, especially now I've had to get the Goldbug version of the mold to get Ransack to go with the other two Deluxe Insecticons. Goldbug represents that version of character as well as a version of the licensed VW while SS86 Bee represents the pre-Return of Optimus Prime version of the character and the penny racer original, so there isn't really a rep'ing job left for Netflix Bee.
Goldbug should've been a retooled ER Runamuck. Both of them have two pairs of wheels in their feet and a car back behind their head, they have the same transformation layout, and the cartoon proportions are pretty much the same.

I've seen digibashes where he has blue windows instead of black and it really doesn't fit, so I'm glad they went that route too.

Like bending the Knee Backwards, I guess that can work for some poses though it won't look particularly comfortable for him.

When I first got this a week ago, I initially thought it was 6/10, but after messing around with him, he’s really grown on me
I felt that way to really briefly, and it's too rapidly grew on me.
I think my favorite thing about this character is the tucking of the Autobot logo on his foot.

3:18 I liked how accurate the vehicle mode was for Netflix Bee. Gave me a happy to see a Transformer turn into a licensed car again. Reminded me when that was a more common thing.

I was just on vacation and Kingdom Rhinox can still be found in some stores there. It's hilarious because it's priced at $45 so it's literally never selling.
They also did have 2 Beast Megatron's so i picked one of those up because I've wanted the figure for a while and never found it while Kingdom was around.

@@PerspectiveEnd It's awesome. Definitely one of my favorite War for Cybertron figures I own now. It luckily was Also a later release version so I don't have any breakage issues. It's an incredibly solid figure that I'm very happy I picked up.

I was super surprised by this figure. I thought it was just a retool at first.
I mean there are elements of that, but it does feel like more that they started ground up with just the intend of "That worked but lets make a new thing."
SS86 BUMBLEBEE is a great figure .managers get him as well as legacy evolution Beachcomber, Spinster, Clampdown, a good condition loose BB'S Ransack .and threezero robo-dou voltron. That's a pretty solid haul you got there in Toronto. Truly a Godless land, but one of many great transformers it seems.
I like him more and more. Today I showed him to my wife in the kitchen and stayrd to help with dinner, so I just *put him in my pocket* and I just realized now after dinner that he'd been in there the whole time. I'd be afraid of breaking a core, and an average Deluxe is usually still a little too big and awkward. It's *nice* to have a Transformer I can just... put in my pocket.

And yeah he's just so much fun. A nice solid TOY. I don't need it to be a perfect collectors item when it's this fun.
I have the CW Bruticus because as a teen I had to get i thought CW was the only TF line to have Bruticus, this was way before I learned about 3rd party figures

That exists. it's the MP one and it scales pretty accurately already, so you already have an excellent choice for one.

I'm glad it's the right color. For some reason whenever Bumblebee has a Beetle alt mode they make him a weirdly dark color that's closer to ochre. The MP did that and the Netflix/ER did that.
Also the upside down chest on Netflix Bumblebee just made me irrationally angry. 😅 That one's definitely going up for sale.
They do tend to make him weird off pigments for some reason.
As it should, the Netflix thing is a terrible freak who should not exist.

Glad to hear your starting to get better man. This is a definite pickup for me. He seems really fun. May color over his face with a different silver, and sand down some angles to make him a little rounder.

This ‘Bee is purportedly being delivered to me tomorrow. Looking forward to this. I custom painted my Netflix Bumblebee so I’ve not really played with it in years. Glad to get another G1 version of the character.

Will be pissed when Hasbro rereleases it with all the same plastic. In a, like, 6 pack. With one being, I dunno, Legacy Powerglide.
Seems I agree with you on the arm placement in bot mode. A bit further up woulda been nice.
Articulation is pretty great. Fun transformation. Rolls like a dream. Solid buy, overall. Especially since mine was only 21 USD.

In the pics, the feet looked a bit big, but in person, they aren't!
I give mine the Origins Bumblebee pistol and have him dual wield-
Unfortunately, mine has some issues where the feet won't plug in properly otherwise one of the wheels won't be in the ground, but beyond that it's perfect
I find that he does have to finagle him a bit, and you'll get the wheels all at the very least close enough to the ground to work.
with all the abuse he gets in your vids, you cant argue about clifjumper's durability.
That is his one good quality, his ability to take a hit.

Netflix Bumblebee is kind of obsolete now, especially now I've had to get the Goldbug version of the mold to get Ransack to go with the other two Deluxe Insecticons. Goldbug represents that version of character as well as a version of the licensed VW while SS86 Bee represents the pre-Return of Optimus Prime version of the character and the penny racer original, so there isn't really a rep'ing job left for Netflix Bee.
Goldbug should've been a retooled ER Runamuck. Both of them have two pairs of wheels in their feet and a car back behind their head, they have the same transformation layout, and the cartoon proportions are pretty much the same.
Oh for sure, that thing was never great, but this one blows it out of the water. No reason to even own that any more.
That voice of yours is also suitable for Deadpool. Sarcasm included. Just include the jabs on Cliffjumper.
SS 86 Bumblebee is a nice figure too. If you don't want the Cliffjumper I'd be happy to get that off your hands so you don't damage it.
