My mother is currently getting this done. I have seen many PCI angiograms before (RN), but never seen a CTCA done. Now I know what it is and what’s involved, cheers!

Have recently found your excellent channel. Very informative particularly for those of us who who are concerned about heart disease and have had a stent such as I have.
You seem to be up to date on the latest treatments for heart disease. Is there a way way or is there research into the use of laser or ultrasound or a vacumn to suction arteries of plaque or blockage? I have an elevated calcium score and I have had two stents, one about 10 years ago and a second one about two years ago. I have an excellent life style and diet. I exercise regularly, never smoked and have not used alcohol in many years but still have concerns because of age and family history. Thank you again for your channel. Blessings

I’m getting this done pretty soon I keep telling my cardiologist I’ll be having mini heart attacks that last 20 seconds I did a Lexi scan last year. It was normal, but my EKG always show abnormal. by the time they do the test, they don’t see anything by the time I go home call paramedics it shows I had heart attack. I always tell my doctor put me on a heart monitor. That way you can see it. He don’t recommend that.

I had mine through the raidal artery and on the right side of the neck. Could you explain why they would go through 2 different arteries?

I had a CT Angio Chest w Contrast. Do I need a Coronary CT, too? From my understanding these tests are different from each other. Is there an advantage to one over the other?

I am concerned about the dye. I would not prefer a procedure without the dye.

As an Engineer, why not do preemptive bypasses? Nice new arteries for the heart?
Solve the problem instead of treating the problem.

They make more money when they treat the problem. You are a returning customer when they treat the problem. You are a one time customer when they solve the problem.

Less invasion, less chances of adverse failure.
