See an interview with Kieran Maguire earlier on a Forest channel, he seems to think, with Europe & Saudi leagues, if a club has evidence, such as e mail trail or the equivalent, that any sales were made and agreed before the deadline but not completed before, due to clubs in these leagues not being able to complete deals, where only the final details need agreeing that should be enough for the Prem, as long as it was tied up in a day or two and not weeks later.

Take the points deduction and expose the absurdity of PSR. Get the best players available and keep beating all but the very best. Unless PSR is made to be the biggest story at the start of the season, then the cartel will remain protected.

I'd take a points deduction( I know it is us and the FA will double what they "fined" Everton last season), but what is 12 points when we bag over 90 this season, so we finish fourth instead of second, still in for Europe, so a win, win. Unless of course we get hit by Refereeing and VAR decisions(again) to drop points that way. Rest assured Masters and his cronies are looking at every way they can to knock us down

as for the saudi market for miggy and wilson it does not open until the 17th july so neither player can help with psr deadline
for psr and balancing the books, would it be better for us to sell players then bring players in with that money or to do swap deals because if we got to balance the sheets I don't think swap deals help with psr
Swap deals will help because we can bank the entire value of the player leaving on the day, but the player coming in can have his value amortised over 5 years. So say we swap a player worth 50 mil for another player worth 50 mil, we get to bank 50 mil instantly but only have to spend 10 mil making a net profit of 40 mil (assuming a 5 year contract). At least that’s how I understand the process.

Absolutely no one knows how minteh will turn out, christ man tons of proven players have come from dutch league and failed miserably. And for me it's important we don't get a points deduction. It's so tight at the top why does everyone say it's ok to drop points for psr. What happens in the run in next season if we miss out on Europe by 2 points coz we were deducted 4 from psr. What then ?

@@BaronSpamedi I’m not one to moan ! Sure, I think the system is rigged in favour of certain clubs, but where we are now didn’t come as a surprise. We shouldn’t be in a position where we are forced to sell an asset we don’t want to, when there are other options
@johnenglish929 But we will always have to sell. Everyone does, even the big six. It's just that they have a lot more scope to spend big because of their greater revenue. After the takeover, we were were starting from a position of disadvantage because, although Ashley left us with no debt, he also left us a squad that was worth next to nothing. The whole FFP/PSR system is poor because it doesn't take into account actual debt levels or whether or not an owner is wealthy enough to inject their own money without making the club incur extra debt.

I really don’t like to criticise the Club because we are in a better position with better management than we have ever been, but we have allowed ourself to be backed into a corner on this one when we could have avoided it.
