Shooting Star is when we first saw the real XG. The XG that has references to space and teamwork in their lyrics and wanted to show that they grew up on hip hop and rnb. Then the B-side of Shooting Star was Left, Right which made it on the US radio charts. However XG from the start has been warning people that were coming for that top spot. Now they're known as having the best rap line, an amazing vocal line and the only girl group that can truly keep up with boy groups who are known for their incredible dancing and next year will make their Coachella debut in their third year, following in the footsteps of BLACKPINK who did the same thing back in 2019 and a few years later became the biggest girl group in the world.
I am already so proud of them as a new fan and can not wait to see what else they have in store for the industry!! I am so thrilled that they are going to Coachella, they are going to blow everyone's mind with their talent and energy!!
if you do plan to do a deep dive i hope you do their side content such as XG Vox and XG Tapes as well as xg days and Xtra XG vlogs which heavily shows their progression and personalities, they don't have an issue with people reacting to their stuff. and on your own time they have two reality shows "Two Meals a Day" and "X Or Go" on M2 as well as a Documentary of their creation on their own youtube called" Xtra Xtra" which you shouldn't have a problem as well, a tearjerker though so have tissues

As it’s been said many times XG is not Kpop, in order to be Kpop the majority of their songs would have to be in Korean, as far as the training is concerned all of the oriental countries each have the same style of training the letter at the front tells you which language and country they are from Cpop is Chinese, Jpop is Japanese, Tpop is from Thailand, Ppop is from the Philippines and so on, XG created their own genre called Xpop because they are all Japanese trained in both Korea and Japan but sing all in English and want to appeal to a global market, definitely go through all of their content on their page especially the documentary Xtra Xtra, and for each song they do there is a dance practice and watch the fixed versions of you want to see all the foot work they really are like no other, the synchronization is on another level, not to mention they speak 3 languages and know ASL, a group with 4 rappers and 3 singers but all 7 can rap and sing

Ages are from 19 to 23 with cocona being the youngest, names are main rappers cocona, Harvey, jurin and maya, 3 vocalist are hinata, juria and chisa who is the oldest at 23 years old. They can all sing, rap and dance.
XG is not K-pop. To understand why, please watch XG documentary series. Start with the introduction video, XTRA XTRA ep. XX. In my opinion, nobody is touching. Others are amazing performers or amazing dancers or can sing, or can "rap" but authentic to core 'real real'? Nobody is touching XG. It's not an act.
I will definitely be looking into this group more and yeah, I was previously told they are not 'technically' kpop but it's just became a habit for me to say since I do mainly listen to kpop lol

XG is best right now, not alot of groups can do live vocals that sound like studio other than BABYMON, XG, Gidle, New Jeans...
