Hi, don't know if you can help, but my pond water is brown. I have a UV, filter, skimmer, waterfall, used tetra crystal clear, did nothing. Cleaned the filters, etc. But still brown water. The little I can see of the fish is they are all very healthy. No blanket weed, the pond is sheltered by trees. The pond is 19' s 13 ' and is approx 25k litres. Any advice much appreciated. Thank you.
@@CrazyCatWoman1 hi not something I’ve experienced, but some possible causes might be:
* Is it possible that earth or other organic material might be washed into the pond?
* could it be the food you use, this can often change the water colour depending on what type it is
* there may be a slow accumulation of detritus in the pipework, might help to flush/clean them?
I used Kockney Koi floating pellets. The pond is 2 thirds below ground and 1 third above. 3 sides are large gravel and the other side is slabs. Only the trees overhang, which in autumn the leaves fall but nearly all get caught by the skimmer or I net them. Don't understand why the UV isn't working though.
