Thank you! Am working through what I wanted to play in San Antonio and I thought Terapogos would be great but I hadn’t used it in previous reg G and felt like I had to start from scratch! Awesome timing on this video because I started building today!
Terapagos loves having a Ceruledge on the team as it's fire/ghost typing walls Zama's body press and heavy slam gets walled with bulk up/bitter blade recovery. You also wall Koridon with flash fire if it's running only fire and fighting moves.
Love your videos! I have two questions as a newer player: First one maybe an odd question, but you place EVs etc. on terapagos stellar form when building teams in showdown. When you go to EV train in-game you will obviously be in shell form. Does this impact the final product at all? Secondly, if you are running the bulkier terapagos teams, how do you deal with torn/whims tailwind CSR/Mirai/Kyogre teams if you don't have your own way to stop it? Do you just try and bulk your way through them as best as possible? Maybe that is a general question for teams not just specific to terapagos.
Hi! No it doesn't because you are going to tera the terapagos 99% of the time so just EV it the same way and it'll take on those stats. The tailwind stuff doesn't matter thay much. Use your fake outs and take away terrain with Rillaboom. Set up calm minds and they can't break you.
Is sub on the first paste really needed? Would it be better to put a coverage move on terap? Do you think leftovers or covert cloak is better for the little turtle?
Substitute is one of the best moves you can have on it. It helps stall the trick room/tailwind turns because you can alternate it with protect in subsequent turns. I think both items are excellent
Hi Clover! Ty for this vid it has been really helpful to figure out EV spreads and have samples of how to use pagos more effectively! I do have one question however, with the first team it is really hard to manage the matchup against dondozo teams that have been going around a lot (especially the body press variants), do you have any tips on adjustments in play or teambuilding that could be made to handle those matches better? Thanks a lot again either way :D
Using the flutter mane team, how would you approach a zamazenta/entei team? I had a bad time with snarls/wide guards and inner focus preventing fake outs
In pokemon, when you invest your vitamins to increase a stat, usually it goes up by 1 point. However, in the natured stat that you chose (ex: adamant), you'll see a "bump" in that stat only when you invest EVs. On Pokemon Showdown, there are 3 distinct points within the 252 bar where the stat will increase by 2 points instead of one. Look at Heatran and make it modest. You'll see that as you move the slider and get it to +76 the special attack increases by 2 points instead of one! Amazing! From here, the rule is that for every 80 EVs invested after the first bump, you'll see it again. So +156 and +236 investment in special attack you'll see the 2nd and 3rd bump. This is only 1 example for 1 pokemon. Another Pokemon may see the bumps elsewhere in their natured stat. Hopefully this helps!

this is how powerful turtles are when we can’t see them in the ocean
😂😂
Thanks for watching, all! What do you think of Terapagos this format? Let us know in the comments!

These should help you get started!

Yes both ceruledge and chandelure can serve that purpose and are niche options

You could also pair Terapagos with Comfey with Floral Healing, that's also an idea
Great video as usual tho
I showed that in the video
ik ik I was really excited when you showed that because it's a really creative idea! @@CloverBells
@RealShades7 It was done in the summer, haha. It's okay!

Use the flutter mane. You can't body press a ghost type nor can you order up a fairy type 😜😜
Ive seen the alcremie decorate built and think its cool. Life orb terapagos with protect and some other partner pokemon
Yes these are less common variants
I commented on an earlier video about ev in Scarlett how would you calculate a spread like you have for terrapagos in the grimmsnarl screen build ?
Survive the Close Combat from Adamant Urshifu or +2 defense body press from zamazenta
Using the flutter mane team, how would you approach a zamazenta/entei team? I had a bad time with snarls/wide guards and inner focus preventing fake outs
Use the urshifu and ogerpon more. Make trades. Remove the wide guard threat and let terapagos finish
great builds!
thank you!
Dang Bells, Nice thumbnail
It was given to me!

Also check out our video on this from August! It's linked in the video description
How come this isn’t on SV engine?
You can't do teambuilding on the actual game. I'm showing you team comps and the EV spread process.
First
Great!
