Charging for extra guests, limited outlets to work remotely, 8 hours to heat a hot tub, limited hot showers, and a couch that doesn’t face the tv…. For $300-400 a night. You just saved me money and earned a subscriber 👍
Ive stayed here a couple of times and thoroughly enjoyed my stays. The rooftop gym and pool are very nice. The current staff is amazing, and Ifyll (I think thats how you spell it) was awesome and personable throughout. I can't really say anything negative. The location also makes you feel very safe. there's just no way you're gonna get robbed or harrassed coming or going to your unit

There is electric in the island. Open the door and look where they plugged in thr microwave. Also that was a Tide pod for laundry not a non existent dishwasher.
What about if you book as a couple. Like if you already have a colombian girlfriend and she will be staying the entire time? Is there still an extra charge after 10pm?
Great job with the video and review. If the builder had paid a little more attention to detail the unit would be much more desirable. No excuses for lack of outlets even with the glass windows/walls. Floor outlets could have been easily installed. I don't like the pricey guest policy nor the lack of key or swipe card to get into the building. That to me is a big security risk/flaw. Plenty of people have robbed going into their Airbnbs and this unnecessary delay that only increases your chances. This is clearly a high end building lacking some high end amenities. A high end building should have a clothes dryer and not just a washing machine. The unit doesn't sound like it has a real water heater as we know in the states. What your describing sounds like this unit has one of the small wall mounted gas units used throughout Colombia and many other places. Yes, it is a water heater but only gives you approximately 5 minutes of hot water. Again, not high end and pretty basic. Also, as you had mentioned the blender is cheap and a higher quality one should have been purchased. In my opinion the views are great and the unit itself is desirable just certain little inexpensive things could have been done to improve the unit. The host of the unit should have inquired ahead of time if you were going to plan to use the hot tub and if so that thing should have been filled with water and at the proper temperature. If the owner wants top dollar for the unit some improvements should be made. Thank You
Most of these buildings are just laundering money, that’s why they are not all that good when it comes to management The building where I live in provenza was designed so that the windows don’t face the sunset so it regulates temperature nicely. That was a selling point
I cant take your reviews serious. You cant see that the steps to the jacuzzi are not non slip and that from the top step you could easily fall over the knee high hand rail? Safety is the first thing you should look at
@@dannyboobooI booked wake but then watched this video $90 for guest is outrageous. If I have a driver for 5 hours a day would you suggest booking energy or Belmonte ? What would you suggest?
If I got it right you paid 1,600 USD for 1 month? Thats way too expensive. There's nothing spectacular but the rental rate. Owners like this only create bubbles and destroys the Medellin market. And by the way, I have been living in Medellin for 4 years now. Its ridiculous what is going on.
@@dannybooboo what? You paid 1600 for 4 days? Must have been a mansion or castle. Sorry but extranjeros get really cheated in this city. Next time, ask me before booking. Even luxury hotels are cheaper here.
that's after the max occupancy. remember, i booked a 2-bedroom and had 5 peple in the apartment at one time without trouble. It was guys and we left by 10pm so not sure if that was the reason why I wasn't asked.
Its nice but it doesn't even compare to the suites at Be Mate. When you get off onto your floor, you are the only one. Pure luxury and is 273 a night. No prostitute building. With 2 on duty at door all night
Back in middle of 2021 when I was considering buying it (in construction) it was $350,000. Now it would surely be more. At $400 per night you'd make about $100k per year if you managed yourself. If you have the building manage for you, it would be $80k. I'm unsure if they can continue the $400 rate. I booked very early. Expenses probably around $24-$36k per year.
@@dannybooboo you own a condo yet you spent 1600 to stay at an airbnb just to make a video? Makes zero sense, unless you're doing some work at your condo.

Guest fees at Wake currently?
This guy is a good host. I stayed in his Airbnb last year. One of my best stays there.
Tremendously appreciated, thank you
Do you know if the swining that i sow on booking is free ?
so crazy. I dont understand why you want to overpay these apartments.
Hi 👋🏼 question do you how much their charge on their taxes when you check in for people visiting from the US?
zero

Nido Sky in Astorga! Just opened. Friend of a friend is the owner.
@@andrewcallahan2109i know the owner, yes I'll add it to the list
Thanks for the mention!

How’s the noise with the new construction going on next door? Headed there early next year. Gracias!
it's a big project and all the units in wake face that way so i can imagine you'd hear it. I'll try to stop by and see if it's started yet
I wonder if you can substitute the guest/visitors on a daily basis and change the name of each visitor every different time you bring someone new.
I'm guessing not. You gotta pass the reception who has to open the door for you each time.
Cool!
What about if you book as a couple. Like if you already have a colombian girlfriend and she will be staying the entire time? Is there still an extra charge after 10pm?
not if you get two bedrooms
If you have a girlfriend or spouse, of course they can stay entire with no extra charge
Hey Danny, for a single guy who wants to explore the City which of the 2 you recommend, Wake or Energy?
For me, Wake because of it's location is way better, more walkable
Staying here next month. Is it walk-able to Provenza and the nightlife ?
Yes, definitely. You have to cross two main roads to get to the main part but no morew than 10 minutes walking.
1400 can get you a nice apartment for a month in poblado 😅, I have 3 story penthouse right in front of wake in guaycarnes for $2500 a month
ya, i'm aware....but now you know!
El edificio energy living, el hotel the charlee y otros que no recuerdo, son burdeles.
ya tengo uno con energy y charlee voy a hacer en unas semanas

Do a review on hashtag 98 hotel
ya, that's an intersting one. looks nice but small, how'd you even hear about that one?
@dannybooboo I travel to Medellin often. They have a few listings on airbnb.

Interesting
$90 per night for visitors, thats ridiculous
It is ridiculous. Check out Energy which allows 4 guests totally free or my rental which is generally flexible with the guests
I booked Wake today … But after viewing this video. I am canceling. No way am I paying $90 dollars for an overnight visitors. Any suggestions?

Average Colombian have to work one month to stay in this unit 1 day alone.
Yes, this is correct

$273 seems pricey for 1/2bd in that building minus maybe the pH or upper levels
@dannybooboo you have trouble see it to believe it. 15x 80 foot balcony. One of the safest areas. Until you walk into a suite you won't understand
Overpriced
