  • In 1948, father of communications theory Claude Shannon developed the law that dictated just how much information could ever be communicated down any path, anywhere, using any technology. The maximum rate of this transmission would come to be known as the Shannon Limit. Researchers have spent the following decades trying to achieve this limit and to try to go beyond it.

    It remains vague about how a piece of program code brought the different science disciplines together.

    Why did you upload the same video again?
    How did Bell Labs become Nokia Bell Labs?

      Thanks for your questions. We have replaced some of the videos to reflect the new parent corporation (Nokia) in the logo and attribution. Bell Labs became Nokia Bell Labs on January 14, 2016. Learn more at bell-labs.com

      Yes, its incredible to see just about anyone be a scientist, since science knows no race, sex, or religion.
