I'd say buying the review bike counts as high praise!

Great review as always, I'll probably never get to ride a fancy bike in the places you go so I'm glad I can ride vicariously through you

Thanks for the review....very interesting. As a comparison, I'm Pipedream Moxie Mk3 owner (Steel frame) which is my winter trail HT rig when the Scottish winter slop destroys my FS. Really surprised at how well the 'steel' HT rides in terms of its compliance. The sagged geo on the Moxie is within a couple of mm of my SC Hightower V3...I'm blown away by how similar they are in terms of the their capabilities. A big thumbs up here for Pipedream.

Excellent review - love the riding videos in the 3rd person - really shows the bike in the environment

I have a Cotic SolarisMax and a RSD Middlechild. I love them both- the Cotic is a hard charging plow bike while the RSD is a playful party bike. Sometimes the minimalist in me wishes I could combine them (N-1!). Maybe the S6 is that happy middle ground.... Thanks for the video, Neil!

Great review. Been waiting to see the S6 show up in reviews. I am lucky enough to have an S6 and an S5. The S5 is a dream bike, so I can't really explain why I pre-ordered the S6 frame. Other than I had Brand loyalty, the parts available for the build, and I messed up on my unit conversion of pounds to dollars. Buyer's remorse went right away upon riding the S6. It is something special. Definitely can feel the flex and the handling seems almost intuitive. I feel quite lucky. I hope to see more people enjoy one of these.

have a kona honzo 29er, carbon, weighs under 25lbs , its great on everything, from trail, alpine riding to bike packing, just crushes it. its cool that you can ride Portal one day and then put bags on it and ride the White rim the next.

You did well to get Pipedream to speak to you. I tried hard but as an ordinary customer and not a TH-camr he didn’t have time for me. The bike looks great but I’ll be supporting other, more customer friendly businesses

They seem to be a lot more responsive on facebook than they are to emails, but it is a massive worry when you're considering dropping that kind of money on a bike frame.

Same here. Dropped a few e-mail and messages on IG with no response. A bit disappointed as I'm very keen on buying a Sirius.

@@struanmills5710 I did get a reply. After many unanswered emails and calls, I finally rang and was hung up on. Then I got a text. It didn’t say ‘sorry, in a meeting’ or ‘can you call later’. Nope it said ‘I thought I’d switched the phone off.’ So pretty clear how concerned he was about customers. So, much as the bike appeals, so do Dan Stanton’s bikes and Starling bikes. And those guys could not have been more helpful or friendly. I’ll enjoy giving them the business.
I used to live in Edinburgh but I’m in Australia now. Not going to risk doing business with a company on the other side of the world who couldn’t give a rats about customers

I totally agree with you on the brake differences. I've only test rode the SRAM brakes (and bled them...which is a very comprehensive PITA). However, they did not give me a warm and fuzzy. Not even close to the SLX brakes on my Pinhoti III, which btw, looks strikingly similar to this Pipedream... except for the slacker head angle, longer reach, lower stack, and sliding rear drop-outs. Wait... that's probably the reason for this video. 😁 It seems the lower stack (and longer reach) would get old when bikepacking long distances?

I think when you consider the cost of a really nice Ti hardtail you enter into a unique category of “should I spend that money on a hardtail or get a full squishy?” Personally I’d rather spend the money on a nice Ti or steel frame with modern geo and design, knowing that I can use high volume tires on wider width rims to fill up that gap and have a “non-proprietary” and sometimes overly complicated design. Plus I feel a 35# 160mm full suspension is more bike than I need for most trails I ride since I really don’t go to bike parks and launch 🚀 doubles.

Sweet ride Neil! I wouldn't sweat the brake power if I were you, they'd probably just slow you down ; -)

I can't seem to find what the max front sprocket size is, any idea if it will take a 36? If so I just found my bike. Thanks for the great review.

Neil, can you speak to how the bike's geo felt after long days in the saddle? I'm so curious about the Sirius but worried that the position needed to ride a bike this long and low would lead to a good number of aches and pains!

How does the weight of the Ti frame compare to the steel version? At that price I presume there's a lifetime warranty?
I bought a whole bike with an Al frame, SID fork and 10-52 12 speed drivetrain for a lot less than this frame is going for earlier this year, but the geometry is nothing like as confidence inspiring or as much fun up or downhill as my 27.5" wheeled Sirius, even though it's about 2 kg lighter.
