After playing x2, moving to normal felt like playing in slow mo fr.
fr, Ive always thought that 2x speed was normal but when I went back to 1x speed, it became so unnaturally slow lol

I remember someone mentioning a bug that if you entered combat with x2 and change it to "normal", the game formula is wrong and the speed actually becomes x0.75 or something similar. I tried entering battle with normal speed, but personally I still feel that it's too slow hahahah

Silverwolf has so many fourth wall breaks. It's honestly very interesting from a lore perspective. If she knows she's just in a certain universe, does that mean she knows the main character is the main character? Does she know she's just a character we can wish for and play with on our end? Will she have an existential crisis upon realizing she doesn't really exist? Hm...

i think every character has different voicelines for 2x so they dont sound like chipmunks or talk over each other and themselves constantly
They record the voiceline twice for different speed. Hoyo can just record 1 vl and edit it to make it faster. It shows that Hoyo cares about their games.
They do, but generally they've just cut out some words or made it sound more natural. Silver wolf has two completely different lines!
Shampo has a different one as example too

Well it's always like this, playing 2x for a while makes your brain think that's the normal speed and think isn't right at normal speed so considering it's in Slow-mo.
Even if you don't play at 2x at all, the 1x feels slow, like for example seele taking out her scythe for her ult is slow. I feel like the 1x speed should be around 1.2/1.4x of what it is now
Just recently discovered that exact feeling, lol. Been listening to Slaves - Consume, seen somebody in the comments say that after x1.5/x2 speed normal sounds too slow. That is much more fascinating than somber to me
If you play at 2x default on starting a battle, Then going to 1x in battle, It goes to 0.7x something

A character who in one language is voiced by 4th Wall Breaker in Chief Neptune, is bound to have some sprinkling of wallbreaker powers :D
I feel insane for playing at it'a regular speed; also blame Bronya for this, her ult on regular speed hit's different especially with the boot and the shining carabine
I play normal speed when doing things like bosses and elites, alot of ults just hit different when they're slower, like the pause before seele's hits, Bronya, Asta, Clara and Welt are other good examples

Well, this is not the first time that has happened when the characters break the 4th wall in the Honkai universe though. Especially Honkai Impact, which has many 4th wall rule breaks. At that time at Ai-chan's event, the Genshin Impact collab, the Main story quest in the moon, and many more.

as someone who prefers on normal speed, speed up the normal speed
normal speed leans too hard into slowing down on the critical parts to increase visual impact
double speed on the other hand makes it kinda hard to enjoy the visuals
increasing the normal speed's battle speed by about 30% is good, and tweak the ultimate to lean into the impact but keeping everything snappy
(this is an image i will give to help nail the idea: take seele's ult. speed up her drawing her scythe and dashing forward, linger on her face for about 0.75 seconds instead of the current which is about 1.35 seconds, and make the part of the afterimages, slashes, and crystallize effect fast - give just enough time to see them all, but only linger for about half a second on the crytallize to highlight the impact. think judgement cut end? that.)
Yeah I agree. I play on double speed just because I value my time, but you definitely can't enjoy the animations nearly as much, but now normal speed feels way too slow. I wish there was a middle ground, like 1.5x and 1.25x options.
for real tho, the game is so detailed it doesn't feel right to play on 2x all the time. i only use it for farming or when i'm on a real hurry
For those who still using normal speed, just keep it that way, once you try 2x speed, there's no going back

All characters have separate lines for different speeds, but her demo was a fourth wall break too, she was playing as Bronya in Honkai Impact 3rd
Weirdly enough if you change from 2x speed to 1X speed mid fight you can tell it is be a bit slower than the 1X speed.(it only lasts a while)
I noticed this too and it fits into her character so well
When I used her ult on 2x I always hear "This is *devil* speed" instead of "This is *double* speed" 😅.

It's normal when you playing normal speed back then but when you so use to double speed feel weird later on.
If farming and fight random minions sure it like slow mo as turtle yet in Cocolia boss those slow became epic instead 2x speed because it have rhythm
On this note, idk about many other charaters cuz probably didnt pay attention but i know that jing yuan also changes voice lines depending on the speed. I think its to match the time it takes for the animation so he gets a diferent and longer one on x1.

Ever notice Seele's ult looks way cooler in normal speed? The quantum after images of her speed stay where in double speed, they dont appear.

Every character has lines slightly different (how they say it, when they say it, etc.) depending if normal or 2x
Fun fact: they all have two separate takes for the ultimate lines. This is to avoid it sounding funky after speeding it up, although with silver wolf they changed the actual line.

While I appreciate the voice line variants, I hardly ever play on double speed except in Calyxes, so I never suffer the whiplash most people talk about xD
To me, 2x speed looks silly most of the time. It's like watching a Roadrunner cartoon to me. Plus, staring at 2x speed fights for too long honestly gives me eyestrain in very short order, but I can vibe with 1x speed for hours with no problem.

I used to play on regular speed and it felt normal to me but ever since I started playing on double speed and tried making a return to normal speed... Damn, it felt like the game was going in slow motion. I had to quite literally log off the game at normal speed, wake up the next day so that I could reset my brain so it wasn't used to the 2x speed.

Playing sped up makes normal speed feel like slow motion, but if you avoid double speed it looks fine. I usually avoid double speed unless I'm letting it auto play without me watching it.

I mean, they did say that their reality is a "game" to them. So I think that means she is aware that this game, Honkai Star Rail, is an actual reality and she can tamper with it if she wanted to.

In 2x speed she says it as it isn't quick enough and in the other languages she says the full sentence "this is double speed? Still too slow". I guess in english is too long
