It is a nostalgic song, reflecting the life of Children growing up in the Garo traditional society. The Atchu used to tell the kids mesmerizing stories as they sat around the fireplace, which was a common pastime, and also helped bond the family and relatives. For the kids of 'that time' it was more like watching umm, maybe, netflix 😁, so they keep telling the Atchu not to stop.
However, in the video they didn't seem to portray the lyrics as they are but depicts some parts of Garo culture like dancing etc.
Btw, the bamboo thingy Atchu is holding is called Chigring- a stringed musical instrument made from, yes bamboo 😁
The song is critically acclaimed for its fusion of Garo and Western music, which perhaps is a new genre!

Rough road band is one of the famous band in Garo Hills. The guitarist you see here is the best guitarist among Garos and a very good composer so far in Garo Hills 👍. Would love to see more videos reacting on Garo songs. 👍👍

That field is Alotgre stadium field near my house which is now being converted into National Cricket stadium field based in Tura itself and Definitely not Shillong. We have beautiful places here too 😂not just Shillong

This video was shot in three locations, Kremragre ( Babadam area) Nokrek biosphere and Allotgre stadium Tura. We couldn't shoot in Balpakram due to unavoidable circumstances. One old song Re'bapile and new Garo song coming up. Due to pandemic we have not been able to record the songs. Once recording is completed we will come up with video and will try to release it this year itself. Untill then keep watching and keep sharing and subscribe to our TH-cam channel, Rough Road Tura.
