The first bike I ever rode in 1964 as a sixteen year old, still riding a Triumph 900 America at 71., Cubs were really the only little bike that sounded like a proper gig 4 stroke and had the Triumph styling!, Lovely little bikes and I will probably end up with one when mine gets to heavy!
I had fifteen mates with Tiger Cubs and one day we rode from Eastcote area down to Southend, the sound of those Cubs was incredible, as the sound kept chiming in.
and one other point could easily do 123 miles to the gallon. On the day I collected mine from Pinks in Harrow, there was a Trophy and another Cub. I saw the Cub one day in Ruislip and pulled up beside it and it had an older person riding. He wondered what I was doing there and I said your cub and mine were bought the same day and he said "Do you know I get a 123 to the gallon, and I replied and so do I. Great bikes.
Good looking Cubs, what vintage are they? I began motorcycling in 1957 and Cubs were a hot ticket lightweight then but I acquired a 200cc Zundapp instead. Tiger Cubs were one of the most aesthetically pleasing singles made and so popular for their time, the basic pattern of their design going forward into the 250s made by Triumph and BSA later on. I rode a 200cc Parilla Wildcat against them in scrambles and the little Parilla had the stuff to 'clip the claws' of the Cubs, never lost to one.
Hey fellas I’ve a tiger cub trials and need some advice re wiring the old girl can you recommend any one near chester that can help or repair it for me please happy to pay etc
Absolutely loved the film. I have a '59 C15 which I gather is based on the Tiger Cub. It sounds very similar. The Tiger Cubs are beautifully sorted. Do they leak oil like a C15? Thanks for going to the bother of making this.
Eric, superb video, loved it. May I use 20 secs of the Cubs running by in a vid I'm doing about all the bikes I've owned? Circulation is family and friends but if it got out I hate to upset anyone. Thanks, Norm.
Hi Norman, Sorry for the late reply. More than welcome to use it. This video is actually my dad and his friends. Shall try to get some more videos of his bikes when I can.
I wished I came across the Tiger Cub in my earlier years (I got one now). I spent too many years trying to get C15's running right.
Great to see the youth of today out on a motorcycle camping trip.
Thats what I like to see. middle aged men on old motorcles giving it to the modern world .You are not alone !
awesome combination for this video, tiger cubs and camping Snowdonia,
thankyou for sharing the adventure,

Ha ha. I had a Triumph 21 (3TA) when I was 16 and now still riding a Triumph Speed Triple 955cc which is now 20 years old and immaculate! Love it. 🙂

Lovely, very idyllic, except for some of that wet weather in June... Looks a great deal of fun.
Awesome vídeo, I own a Cubbie too! Such a little jewel.
Beautiful video!
Loving the choice of music.
Good music, but I’d liked to have heard the sound of the bikes more, to remind me of my first bike 😟

@@EricWatts87 thanks that’s great. Lovely shots. Look forward to your next vid. Norm
Why does a Cub sound so much nicer than a C15 ? The C15 is too harsh, like it's highly tuned, but it's certainly not ;-)
a c15 is a bsa tiger cub is a triumph . cub is the better bike .c15 is not based on the cub [ thank god ]
BRMC song!
