Nice, long flight time. It does handle the extra weight of a 2200mah battery. A six minute flight with an EDF is extraordinarily, that went seven! Another plane to add to my wish list.

I love the collaboration between this man and his wife. The make a good team in my opinion. This plane looks and flies almost as good as the Avanti S , although one can't compare the price difference between the two.
It would be cool if Horizon would offer multiple livery options for each plane. That way you could get a different one than your friends have.

Perfect to keep in the car for spontaneous flights. The whole thing is about 1/2 the cost of a jet friendly 6S battery! I Just preordered one through your link. I hope that Horizon gives you a commission when it is a preorder.

I fly my Habu with 3s 2200 30c with the battery all the way back.. I've had to add 3/4 for an oz in the back to get it to balance on the cg.. (Very nose heavy) Did you have an problem balancing it? HH said they never heard of anyone having to add wt to get it to balance.. Thanks
I never add weight, I just add a slightly larger battery.
I reccomend a 100c or higher 1300 mah 3s for this
I'm interested int the Habu STS 70 and the F15. Can you give me a quicky rundown of the pros/cons of each. I am a beginner. Seems like the habu takes forever to land. Space may be a little issue

Any chance to use this with a DXS? The AR631 seems to need some forward programming DXS is not capable of. I managed to bind wit SAFE but no switch is reacting. Worked out of the box with a Aero Scout
I had this same issue… and as a result destroyed mine on the maiden. Im honestly not even the biggest fan of safe mode but I think it’s a good idea for the first flight. I just got a dx6e and have safe going now. New fuselage is coming in the mail hoping for the best 😂
I'm pissed with spektrum. Didn't manage to get safe mode. So also nearly destroy mine. Selling all on eBay now. Flying dji avata now. But will diy a plane soon but then on inav and elrs and not that proprietary shit ;)

Hi guys, I found this transmitter on eBay and bought it, I may have made a mistake but not sure. It’s a Spektrum DX7 SPMR7700 7 channel. Will this work with the Habo and Viper jets? It might be cheap in the US, but in Australia it's $420. Pretty expensive for a little foamy jet. The Prime RC Tiger 50mm PNP is better value at $199.

If you are looking for a small starter EDF jet I can highly recommend the Arrows Hobby Marlin.
Its 4S 2200 to 3000mAh, 64mm and includes rudder AND flaps. Beautiful performance, fast and yet great at slow speed with mid flaps. Easy to land on full flaps. Low price.

Love the 50 mm edf's, picked one of these up yesterday at a Hobby Shop that carries the Horizon products, probably do a maiden this weekend......

The hobby shop that I purchase from is a Horizon Vendor and distributor. So they get first pick like you guys do. So if you time it right, there's no waiting weeks or months for a product to come in after it's been released.
Good afternoon. Recently I bought one aeroscout S2 RTF with an included DXS. I would like to get one more plane (preferrable in BNF) but since I don t want to spend more than 300 euros I thought I could use the DXS for other planes. From what I know, binding it to other models would require programming and tuning, which is pretty complicated from my point of view. I talked to some HPI racing professionals about this and they told me that all rc planes from horizon (with 6-7 channels) should work just fine only by inserting the battery and turning on the TX. Ideally, I would get a Habu SS 50mm but I am worried I will mess up the controls between the models so a umx timber would be also perfect. Please tell me if that is possible without any out-of-the-box tuning. Thank you in advance.

Hi Saylors nice job with the videos. I always appreciate Abby's comments as well. I'm looking for my first jet graduating from the Eachine P51 and have Realflight. I like something in the 40-50mm size as I fly smaller areas. It seems like the F15 is quite a bit larger and has half the flight time and maybe not quite as easy to fly? The paint scheme is horrible on the Habu however. Can I just use 2 coat rustoleum paint and make it look like the blue angels lol:)

OF all the Habu they have , Which one gets the longest flight time?
I have the 70mm, the one for 379.99 and mine lasts about 10 min each battery
How would you compare this to the Eflite F-15
This is a bit more “floaty” and well rounded flight performance. The F15 on paper is similar, but needs more “forward movement” and less aerobatic flying. I wouldn’t even think about trying to fly inverted as much as I did on this as the F15. I’d say the F15 wins on looks and this wins on flight performance. 👍😎⚓️

How did you get it to balance at the recommended CG of 66mm with a 2200mAh?? I had mine pushed back to the receiver and it was still CRAZY nose heavy even all the way back.
Same I flew mine and the nose was dropped even at half throttle

Why do you fly so late in the evening hours. why don't you fly high sun. Its hard to see the plane with low sun look like a black dot flying around
my guess is the wind lays down more, that is how it is where I live...much more enjoyable with lighter winds

Looks like a great little Jet. You said you set your batteries alarm at 3.40V per cell. I was told never to fly batteries below 3.80V.
3.4v under load is no big deal... your battery will still show you high 3.6 - low 3.7 whrn you unplug which is perfectly fine
3.8v is a good storage voltage but if you stop flying at that level, your flights will be short!😎

@@fredaw61 You won't even get to danger zone until around 3.3 to 3v resting I typically stop at 3.6-3.65v resting.

Hi! I am new to rc flying and i want to know if i should choose a edf jet oe a propeller plane?
100% a prop plane edf jets have a slight lag from the fan spooling up and actually pushing air out the back which makes bailing out a little harder. Most edf jets aside from the habu tend to stall at lower speeds as well making them less forgiving. Depending on your budget go with an Hobbyzone Aerscout 1.1 or a Carbon Cub s 1.3.

When I was growing up Nitro was still the main way to fly. Tech has come a long way making it easier but it do come at a price.
