I am a hot rodder from way back. l had 1953 Chevy and a 1940 Chevy before l was 16 years old (1963). I collect, Maybe 20 or 30 Hot Wheels over the years. Then I got old and my body said " you are not working on cars, PAIN !!! So hot wheels and models became my passion 😃. I now have 1,215 HWs. I dig your show !! By the way l am now 77 years old, Springdale AR. Oldest teen agger !! Lol
My father loved anything automotive, watched Counts Customs with him and other shows. He would collect different cars mostly American Muscle. When he past started collecting, it helps me feel that he is still around.
I got in the hobby because I'm a huge car enthusiast and I love that I can have all my dream cars in the palm of my hand. I collect what I like and love to collect 👌
Great informative video. These types of videos are my favorite ones. I feel like you should have the “the more you know” shooting star at the end of your informative and war reports. Haha! Take care. 🤙🏼
WOW, first off, AMAZING track video segment man, triple jump too?!?! Really enjoyed seeing them all on the track. Secondly, I've loved the eye candy aspect of cars and trucks all my life. Thats what attracted me to diecast in general as a young person. Seeing what could be done with a low rider or a hot rod or a monster truck or an antique has always captured my mind. Diecast gives me the opportunity to live that all the time, enjoy it, hold it, dream with it, etc. I had a collection when I was young, it was taken from me early on as an adult and now later in life i'm getting back into and i'm loving it. Your content is a big part of that my guy! Thanks so much! - Paul
I’ve always liked cars. As a kid I took my cousin’s bat mobile and wouldn’t give it back. 😂 I sold Tesla for a while, so driving the cars and listening to the boys “talk car” in the office was fun. The first year Model 3 came out we gave new owners a 1:32 scale Model 3 with their delivery. I guess that’s where my collection started.
I also worked for a dealership, and kinda got motivated the same way. The vw gti Fast character was big, and we had a 1:32 scale car that I couldn't resist. The rest is history
You know who *ISN'T* sleeping on EV castings? The folks who build and race Hot Wheels. Both the Karma GS6 and Jaguar I-Pace are blowing up the scene. In stock racing a lot of EVs do well, from the Leaf to the Mustang, the Lucid and the Audi. Tryna get a buddy who hosts F1 racing to hold a Gen2 Formula E event. He says the Gen3 won't finish, maybe because of the larger front aero. Nice video length Walter 👊🤝 I try to help many creators with my view time available
Walter I absolutely love your appreciation for the main lines. I was pumped when I found that plaid. While I'm not the biggest fan of EVs, their raw power is undeniable. And I myself don't mind driving electric go-karts too much. At the end of the day cars are still cars. And since I'm into RC it's pretty much accepted that electric has taken over the entire hobby. You just can't compete with the power to weight ratios. A friend of mine has a Tesla model 3, it's hard to not be impressed by the sheer technology inside that car. It would be a hard bargain to resist an EV if someone were to offer to trade for my current beater "The Hot Wheels hunting car" as I like to call it.
Hey Walter and Abbey great to hear your hinting different places, I'm always sending prayers for traveling.Sending also full peg vibes to both of you as collectors, great video show G peace.
I love the content bro I just found you, the fact that you actually consume and enjoy learning about the cars instead of just chasing hype 5 stars brother 🤝🏽😎🤙🏽
Ayyyy! Glad you're digging the channel. Yeah man, it's a hobby, not a fashion show. Easy for me to dodge the hype. Stay tuned, I got some good episodes coming. 👊🏽
@@thehotlineofdiecast.7623most definitely tuned in, I'll be making my first hot wheels TH-cam video soon 😎 I been gone from the hobby for a little while but I'm back now 🤙🏽
The flow of hot wheels hype taught me how to appreciate peg warmers. It's a good thing that I just go crazy over jdm years ago on those ps2 games and now I'm not that pressured into chasing absolutely overpriced hot wheels jdm cars Fortunately for me dtm and group 5 doesn't have any fans so ill happily buy those cheap cars
great score on the Christmas set. I love those castings. Especially Hot Tub and Evil Twin. Been collecting those since their First Editions version. The Ford Transit Connect T.H. is very underrated. I found a coupe myself. Love the colors, but I wish the roof tampos had come out better. The casting had more Metal when it first debuted. My favorite versions are the 2017 Pizza Delivery . Including the T.H. The two Art cars from last year, and of course the red and green new models from 2015. That Ford Mach E T.H. from case F is its best looking version yet.
I think you ask for input regarding the format. I like your current format. There are enough peg hunting guys out there. Keep doing your thing my brother
Thanks for the update. I got in the Hot Wheels lane because I was a kid that loved cool California cars that I could own & race. Handler @ Mattel = King of Fun.
Electric cars have been a thing since the early 1880's. They never really caught on as a production vehicle until the mid 90s with the Chevy EV1. It took 100 years to kind of figure it out, and even then that EV1 was a joke. I think they will always have a place, but won't ever replace ICE vehicles.
I'm the weirdo of the hobby because I love mainlines LOL Walter one reason why I love your channel is I love all the random facts ties the real world to the actual vehicle. You and ignition do a great job of that. Does Hot Wheels use the same paint that is on the original license car and/or are they the same name. Looks like my most recent hunt was very similar to yours.
While I myself would never own an EV, I have to admit loving the Ford Mustang Mach 400 , Nissan Leaf, Ford Supervan, Formula E Gen3, etc.. castings. I prefer my cars loud , but I have in one way or another always supported Evs even before they were a thing by collecting most of Hot Wheels original track cars. The Gazellas, Mach Speeder, Cyber Speeder. as well as the X-raycers. etc..I'm pretty sure many hyper cars I like are probably Evs ,so I really don't mind. What I don't want is for Hot Wheels to start leaving out the loud pickups and Muscle cars from the mainline in exchange for Evs. They should keep a nice balance of both quite ,and revving demons for collectors to choose from.
The only thing bad about electric cars is they take the soul out of a car. Because you can make any of them super fast when that happens, it’s just basically a looks contest. The only individuality of the car is basically the looks and not it’s propulsion systems because they’re all basically the same right now anyway. I have nothing against electric cars, but just an observation that’s all. And I’m not saying that I’m totally correct and what I said it’s just the way I look at it right now, but anybody else could set me straight. I don’t claim to be the all-knowing person. I like when I learn stuff from other people actually.
Maybe I’m wrong but because of the lack of soul you pointed out I just don’t see anyone restoring Tesla 3’s or Nissan Leafs in 50 years like they do the muscle cars now.
Little concerned here. Lady at closeby Family Dollar said thieves are becoming a problem and trying to steal and return multiples of one car between different stores.

Hey Walter, did you happen to hear that Elon Musk has a 7,000 dollar Tesla on the market, I wonder if that would be a good entry point into the electric vehicles. It only charges for 200 miles, that would be great for me, since I have lower body issues and can't drive very far. Maybe I should wait until they are out for awhile. Peace out everyone.
