Yup, whatever is your chosen method (using the alterative right click or main menu etc.) "make extension permanent" is very useful under many circumstances. Thanks for watching.
Thank you very much sir 🙏 I really appreciated because because the way Steinberg did it was so bad. I have been using Nuendo since 2001 and that is the best post productions Mastering software software sound engineer ever made to my knowledge. Thank you for your help 🙏.
Great video! Got me to think if it is possible to setup the Wavelab editor as Standard-Audio Editor, so I dont have to turn on the extention manually. Doest anyone know if this can be set up?
QUESTION: If I process clips with the ARA extension using Auto Align Post 2, or Spectralayers and make the extensions permanent, will the new processed audio files that are generated retain all of the original time code metadata and file names from the field recorder? I would like to clean up and phase align my dialogue recordings before sending them to post for the picture edit. That would insure everything is phase aligned and clean if its and indie project and they never do a proper dialogue edit. Thanks for the great videos.
This one is tricky to answer in a short comment. We would need to see the exact files you are dealing with. I think the easiest way would be to just test it, using copies of some of your media, in a small dummy project. Perhaps post back if you get any info from the tests?
Thanks, I will keep this in mind for future videos. There is always a compromise between allowing people to see the full screen (so they can see where things are placed), zooming in, and then zooming in and out too much which causes annoyance and disorientation. It is especially tricky when showing very small items or small items that are at the edge of the screen. Thanks though, duly noted.
@@AMBIOSIS It's a fair point and question though, for someone like @bobchris11 who hasn't used Wavelab. We'll clear some of this up in Part 2. And also, we'll look at using Spectralayers in ARA too. 🙂
Well Done! Now I don't forget to "Right click" and "Make Extension Permanent" (to save).

Great presentation of ARA!! Looking forward to pt2.
Thank you for watching

My pleasure
Great video Phil thanks for the insight
Thank you for watching.
i wonder what was blocked out in the ARA list.... hint? great tutorial !!
Eagle eyes. In truth it was done deliberately just to see who is paying attention. 😂.
@@PhilPendlebury hahaha great answer

Remember zooming is very important during the tutorials.

Interesting video…although anyone able to tell me what was that one ARA extension labeled “Acoustica”?
another wave file editor
Can you make a video about Dolby Atmos please
Yup, coming soon and thanks for the request.
What's the difference between using this and the Nuendo editor?
This will be explained in Part 2 :-)
Have you not used Wavelab?

8 minutes in and I still do not know what ARA does. Time wasting video.
I do apologise, you are right, the introduction on this went on too long. I just felt as it was my first video that I should introduce myself.
