Kemmangundi - Euphoric Hill Station

Kemmangundi is a hill station in Chikkamagalur district, Karnataka. It is also called as Sri Krishnarajendra Hill Station, named after the king Krishnaraja Wodeyar lV. He had made Kemmangundi as his summer retreat.
Kemmangundi has got its name from Kannada words. Kempu - Red, Mannu - Soil, Gundi - Pit.
Hebbe falls and Shanti falls are major waterfalls in the region.
Z point, Kallathi falls, Rose garden, Raj Bhavan, Bhadra Tiger Reserve are few tourist places to visit.
Kemmangundi has pleasant climate thorough out the year. Best season to visit is from May to September.
