That dog bark is what i like the most lol ...... great video , be sure to play with swarm to c reate those OB kinda strings (i did in syntakt , superb) by using a filter (notched down) and modulated it to create a phasy fx like old ensembles (use base filter then if ya need less highs )
I hope people understand just how powerful this new DT really is. 16 tracks.. unreal.. see you later syntact .. see you later analog rytm mk2 ??? Thoughts?
I know, I feel like I have plenty of space and capabilities to work. I feel that, even so, the Syntakt - but especially the Analog Rytm - have their place, mainly because of their analog engines. Plus, the Analog Rytm has the added benefit of layering samples.
@@SkeletonJacket I feel like digital can sound like analog so well the days. Maybe that’s the difference. If DT2 had analog machine.. it’d be game over. Either way.. you can cover so much ground with this one.
You can layer up to six samples in the DT2, right??? I think the Octotrak is closer to the DT2 than the Analog Rtm with much greater exploration and happy accidents.from its more advanced capabilities...
Need your opinion..Just bought a digitakt 2, but really in love with analog for drums. I’m considering returning for a DNII and then grabbing a TR8s.. thoughts? DN II and TR8s or DT II and TR8s
@@Realestwizard I actually have the DNII and TR8s. Really fun, but it just depends if you prefer with work with samples or synth engines. Just remember both, DNII and the TR8s are digital, not analog
ahh thanks for getting me straight. Hmmm ok. I think the trance effect of having a drum loop playing while tweaking a synth and punching in a few chord progressions describes what I’d enjoy best.. Sounds like DN II and TR8s, thanks! Btw I really enjoy your sound bro!
I'm trying to decide between the Digitakt 2 and the Digitone 2... I have a Montage and other synths that I can record samples into the Digitakt where they can be manipulated the same as in the digitone...which has me questioning whether or not I really need the four synth engines of the Digitone... Anyone else find themselves in this situation??? What path did you take...or did you sell a kidney and get both??? Lol... 🙂
I have both. If I hade to choose, same as with the OGs I’d say digitakt2. It’s a phenomenal studio companion. I pair it with a small synth (either a reface or minifreak) for polyphony. But I have to say, if you want a groove box to jam with on its own the digitone is the 1st machine I have owned that I can really do that. It has more voices/tracks than you need and is now the box I bring home from my studio to play with on the sofa. Both great choices… I’d whittle it down to do I prefer samples or synths.
@@WalkingHeadPro there is no a virtual analog machine bro on the digitone 2. I’m keeping my digitone 1 too but working with this one feels like having so much more room to play
Absolutely love this, so groovey. Please give us more. Subbed
@@better2beme thanks, appreciate it. More vids are coming!
Love the transpose as a performance tool. Love your vids
Super handy
Love the atmosphere and drones, would you do a video exploring those?
@@909.tattoo that’s a good idea!
That off bar acid tone was good Randomising fully Along with all the on bar sounds. Nice combination and uplifting beat.

Im debating this or syntakt. I have a digitakt and dont have a dedicated fm synth, so Im leaning towards digitone 2.
@@charlesbronson2806 you can’t go wrong with any, but considered that the DN2 is polyphonic and the syntakt not
