So very beautiful. Wow. You really did manage to create an Art piece for your garden. I just love that you made this from left over branches by Mother Nature. Bravo. Thank you for inspiring us all. 😊🦋🐝😊
Thank you so much 😊
This is beautiful. I usually do a lazy job with these but you've inspired me to make them prettier. Worth the effort.
Of all the trellises I have seen, I really like yours the best. Thank you for sharing
Great for all sorts of climbing plants. Very natural and pretty.
Yes I’m thinking sweet pea
at first i thought you were just going to stay with the typical 3-sticks tied together but after seeing how you added all the smaller sticks to create the obelisk structure, I liked the design idea a whole lot!
Glad you liked it!
Great job, I love how they turn out... and zero cost, only the labor of love for gardening 💚
One of my new favorite gardening channels.

Start somewhere, the first time it may be a bit tricky but the more you do it the easier it gets!
Love the trellises you made! The clematis is going to look amazing climbing and blooming. Be sure to take pictures of various stages of development!

@@SoilandMargaritas You're welcome!
Thank your showing us how to repurpose fallen branches. Many gardeners burn theirs or toss them for trash.
Everything from the Earth should be returned to the Earth. I can't wait to get started and will share the idea came from your channel!
You are very welcome!
Thank you very much for showing how to make a simple useful trellis without using any special expensive tools! I have lots of straight sticks from suckers on my maple trees.
By far my favorite trellis idea. I live natural, rustic materials. I have a plastic obelisk on my Clematis now, and will be making this for it in the spring. Thanks for the inspiration.
I love how you used simple broken branches to make a beautifully designed obelisk. I’m going to do this too. You have wonderful ideas for your garden and you teach me a lot.
I too am growing clematis in a pot. I live in zone 6b, and I learned that these plants do not survive in PLASTIC pots because there’s no insulation during the summer or winter and clematis love cold feet (or for their roots to be kept cool throughout) otherwise they won’t survive. Therefore, the pot has to be 18” wide and 18” high with good drainage, and MUST be ceramic, terracotta, stone container or wine barrel which are frost hardy and do not conduct heat. Optionally, you could also plant some flowering annuals near the border of your pot, for seasonal interest (until the clematis begins to flower) and also to assist with protecting the clematis roots from the sun. However, never use plastic containers.
I had no idea, I have found how to properly overwinter some perennials in pots (plastic or any type) for the next year, as long as I protect them from the snow and rain but leave them outside, I am going to put one of these clematis in the ground and leave the other one in the container, these containers are pretty big but the are plastic, so wish me luck!
It depends on how cold the temperatures get. Clematis can handle certain cold temps (based on the average temps in the zone that they are supposed to be hardy in). As an example, the clematises that I plant in pots, can regularly handle the mild winters (between 35-40 F) with occasional drops to 20-degrees for several days.
But more days than that, or much lower temps than that, then that is when they might turn to mush. This year, we reached down to around 1 F - 10 F for several days and that turned a lot of potted perennials to mush as well as killing a lot of in-ground landscape plants that usually wouldn't experience such low temperatures.
Some in-ground perennials, as well as in-ground clematises, survived fine, though, compared to the leaves and foliage of above ground landscaping bushes or even entire bushes which died off since they were not expected to experience such low temps.
good to know about clematis...I won't plant that in a PLASTIC pot...I live in zone 5...many of my clay pots have broken over the winter...maybe skip the pot & just do trellis
This was truly delightful....I made two of these trellises for my tomatoes. But now I am going to work on something for my pothos indoors.....you have really got me sparking!!
Wonderful! Let me know how it comes out!!
Wow! I just watched 6 different videos on making trellis and yours are the best and easiest! You did a great job! I can’t wait to try them! ~ love your creativity!!

Thank you!
Получилось великолепно!!!! Спасибо 😘
What a great example of how to use material that’s readily available and for little to no cost! It’s just lovely.....did I miss it? Or can you tell me the zone you live in? I’m in zone 5b and do a lot of gardening in containers. I can’t winter anything over in plastic, that’s why I’m wondering if you were successful with the clematis you left in the pot. I have wintered many hydrangea plants dogwoods, lilacs ......as long as the pot is larger and not plastic, wood, terracotta, cement, etc. Cant wait to see what your garden looks like this year! Just wanted to tell you that I’m inspired to build my own trellises! Thank you
Hi Cindy, I am in Zone 5, actually I am right on the border of 5/6 but I have tried perennials in the ground safe to 6 and they don't make it, so I play it safe and call it 5, the clematis were moved to the ground late in the season last year, I received my arch for that spot and I just moved them there right away, the are healthy as they can be. I do have sucess overwinter things in containers, plastic or not, however, for me personally, I have to put those pots undercover, protected from the snow... that is what I do with several perennials in containers, some do better than others of course.
Love this!
I really loved this video.
Thank you!
Love this! I’m trying it!!
What growing zone are you? Love the pot idea for clematis & the trellis is awesome. Great idea & so beautiful and natural.

I came in here out of curiousity because I was working on cutting wood pieces for a rustic easel for a plant holder. I have a passion flower that has taken over and I have extra sticks that I have cut for my easel so I will do this. I love it. Thanks for sharing!!! What string did you use?
I used some jute string I had laying around.
❤❤❤❤❤❤SO AMAZING 👏 😍 💖
Beautiful ;)
5:27 you take off your gloves too! Okay, im back to say: " this was so organically beautiful to me, im teary eyed". Im a formal gardener, but i gotta incorporate THIS.
You are awesome! Yes, gloves are optional sometimes... unless I am working around my roses... then I need a whole suit lol.
So cute
Thank you Daisee!

😍 🥰 😘
I have to try this. I hope I have the strength. You made it look so easy but I know the cutting part takes patience. Love the music too. Can you tell me the name of the song?
I would have to check on that song for you, this video was from 2 years ago I think so I can't quite remember.
@@SoilandMargaritas it’s okay if you can’t. It’s just that it went so well with you video. When it stops snowing here for good, I can’t wait to try your technique. I have lots of tree branches here. :)
