    Nice cheap combo. Waaaay too much oil though. You want a micro thin hard layer of carbon to bond dry to the cast iron. The oil reduces to carbon and a low flash temp oil like olive oil at 500F is better than canola at 600F. Takes a lot less $, time and propane. Pour it on thick like that and you have a sticky thick rancid mess that keeps flaking off in your food for years.
