      Thank you! It’s a library card catalog I picked up in a local auction years ago. Fits my Boggs cards perfectly.

    My favorites are the Aaron and the Bench. The Jackson PSA 10 is seriously insane money. Thanks for sharing John.

      I have both the Aaron and Bench, although in lower grades. I love the look of the Bench card! Yeah, any time someone drops $1 million+ on a baseball card is insane! The thing is, those sales are usually through auction houses, so someone else is in on the bidding as well to push the price up so high. 🤑

    Not surprising that Mantle holds the Top two spots. I love these videos John! Keep it up!

      I’m sure Mantle will feature prominently in the Top 10 as I go further back. And thanks! Glad you enjoy them. 😊

    First set we collected as kids…kindergarten…picked it up again about ‘89….the high end cards are nuts…but nice lower end cards seem somewhat ‘reasonable’…it’s a fun set…great video as always…

    Thanks for another great video, John. Surprised that the Fingers rookie didn't get in the top ten. The 69 Reggie Jackson rookie card: someone must have a lot of money to invest or spend.

      Thanks Kevin. Yeah, after doing a number of these videos it's pretty clear that just because it's a hall of fame rookie card, depending on who the player is, it can't compete with some of the non-rookie cards of the all-time great players.

    Hi John. Wow, some star cards on the outside looking into the top 10. Boy the top 3 bring some serious money. Great video John.

      Thanks Stephen! Some of the prices that I'm reporting are insane! There are some people in this hobby with serious deep pockets!

    Fascinating. Figured Mantle white lettering be #1. PSA 10 would be over 1mil. Reggie #1!! McCovey involved in 74T Washington variation.

      Glad you liked it Mike. Yeah that 10 white letter Mantle would certainly go for over $1 million with all the Mantle fans out there.

    I am 100% complete on my 69 set but am trying to upgrade to PSA 8 and above on everything.

      @WadeBoggsFan  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      You have the entire set graded or just the HOFers? Either way, that's awesome! Will be amazing to have all of them in a PSA 8 or higher. Can't even imagine what that will cost! 😮

    I like the mentioning of how we addresse number back then I couldn't agree any more Mr. October.
    i'm surprised that Rollie Fingers isn't on the list surprised he's not in 5th place. I guess like Carlton Fisk he's a lower tiered hall of famer
    not upper tier like Brett and Schmidt!!! also a little suprise that Clemente is number 9 I would think 4th or 5th place for him,
    i'm surprised this isn't the top 10
    10. Yaz
    9. Bob Gibson
    8. Willie Mays
    7. Homerun king
    6. Rollie Fingers
    5. Johnny Bench
    4. Clemente
    3.. Tom Seaver
    2. Nolan Ryan
    1. Mr. October
    surprised on the list that the list you compiled either from ebay or vintage card pricing didn't match mine surprised
    questions
    1. isn't the Yellow lettering more popular or does it depend on the card the team , colors in the back ground colors?

    • @WadeBoggsFan
      @WadeBoggsFan  11 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I think the Rollie Fingers rookie wasn't higher on the list is because of what you said, he's not a "top tier" player (at least when it comes to collectors).
      1. It's not necessarily a matter of which color is more popular. The white letter versions are in much less supply than the yellow letter versions for those players. So a Mickey Mantle white letter version is much harder to find and a lot of Mantle collectors want one in their collection. So the prices of those cards are much higher than his more common yellow letter version.
      I'm surprised you didn't have the Mickey Mantle card (even the yellow name version) on in your top 10 list.

      @@WadeBoggsFan it's his last playing days card which is why he didn't make the list I would have thought would have been the order.

    • @WadeBoggsFan
      @WadeBoggsFan  10 หลายเดือนก่อน

      There are a lot of collectors who want the player's last card as that usually has their full career statistics listed on the back of the card (or up to their last year). For Mantle, it shows his full career stats since he didn't play at all in 1969. So it's a very popular card of his.
