Ocean way is a great plugin but like anything you have to take time to learn it. Same for most plugs. With Ocean way it is a good idea to send the signal to a channel strip ala Neve/SSL to put it through the preamp just like in a normal environment. Room/Mic > board > to tape. Adjusting all three of these will effect the overall sound. Adjusting all 3 parameters will shape to desired sound which needs to be dense and compact. Ocean way can give you and excellent room sound that adds life to dull in the box instruments.
This is the first demo of Ocean Way that made any sense to me, and made it seem like something I need. I've been trying to decide which 2 plugins I want ($$) and this will be one of them.
a one of a kind plugin. Altiverb cannot do this! Neither can most reverbs. The re-mic mode incredible and hopefully they'll do other rooms too such as the famous teldex scoring stage, though this room A is definitely big enough to use for film scores. Awesome video man, makes me want to buy it now lol!
OCEAN WAY makes my Apollo act up, as soon as I use it in a busy mix, I get all sorts of Error messages, even with enough headroom on the Apollo DSP. I can max my Apollo out with other plugins no problem, but as soon as there's a OW in the mix, it's acting up. UAD CS couldn't help with it, and my feeling is, that there's a bug with OW that makes it misbehave.
Same.. I’ve been trying to work with this plug-in for a long time. I guess it’s OK on DI synths and Drums. But I bought it to mix myself as a singer songwriter, and with wide-open tracks I’m just not getting it to sound that great… I’ve remodeled several studio tracking rooms, It would sure be nice if this plug-in worked, but so far no luck. I’ll keep trying though. May just be tricky..
Dallas G I wrote that 6 years ago , wow. I since then bought the plug as it rescued this old jazz recording I had to remix for release. Great players, 24 tracks but once I removed the drum overheads which were badly recorded it lacked a room image. Turned out ocean way made this mix really gel and it went down a storm. Basically the only time it did magic for me.

Also,. WHY would anybody piezo a guitar for recording? It's the worst sound in all of audio.

Love it, thanks for few nice tips. Hope we will see more later
The first thing I notice is that your audio is out of phase !!!!!!! Quite strange if you talk about audio. My monitors are in phase.
Insane

thanks for the info... I forwarded this to UA so they have that info from several sides...
Great plugin but never seems to mix together well. From the demos I've heard on youtube anyway.
THATS BEC THEY TRY TOO HARD -FOR EFFECT INSTEAD OF GOING FOR NATURALNESS !PEARLS BEFORE SWINE
