I’ve watched part 1 and now part 2. I’ve watched many videos to get the oval shape just right and this video is just what I needed. I’m making my granddaughter a race track rug and it truly looks oval with no distortions at all. Thanks for the great tutorial.
🤩 This the best Oval Rug Tutorial! Very easy and detailed instructions. I really like the ch 2 start cause the stitches in each round is uniform. I am so happy to have found your tutorial. This is truly the best oval rug instructions on youtube! 🤩Thank you so much for sharing your talent.
So glad you pointed out how you alternate between starting with two and one DC's on the rows. I was wondering if there was a way to keep up with which count to start your rounds with. I'd made this pattern into a rug many years ago, but, had forgotten how to make it. So very glad I found these videos by you which explain in detail just how you make an oval pattern. TYSM for sharing this video with us. 😻👍😻
Absolutely LOVE this tutorial! Your voice is clear. Your video is clear. You show exactly where the hook goes. You go slow enough for complete beginners. You have text at the top for reference. THANK YOU! 😊 I made a bathroom oval rug using Bernat Baby Blanket in Lovely Blue.
OK, got it ! :) It's as I thought: the pairs of DCs start at the increase every second round. Briliant. It's a wonderfully simply pattern; but it's explained expertly (and gently !), so I don't have to feel like a cretin. Goodonyer, Jodie ! - and thank-you !
This was an easy tutorial and appreciate you puting the patern on the discussion. Thank you soo much!! Looking forward watxhing more of you vids and the future too. ❤
Great pattern and tutorial. I'm making this rug right now. It's my first. Your tutorial is making it easier than I thought it would be. Thank you so much for doing it for us. New subbie friend. I will be checking out more of your tutorials to make. 😊👍
Love your videos! Going to me making this pattern for a family member for Christmas but going to make it look like a race car track! Your videos have helped me so much in understanding the pattern! You got New subscriber from me!
Would you please tell me how many inches is the length and the width of your pattern? I am trying to make an 18-20 inches long and about 10-12 inches wide. I need this special measurement for a dollhouse. Thank you so much! Your tutorial is excellent! Very easy to follow! I am just wondering if 29 starter stitches are enough for my project. Thank you again!🙏
I am making this rug. I think the 16th round is missing 2 dc. Should it include 2 dc at end of that round? If yes, does that mean round 17 should be increased by 1 dc?
OMG, you're absolutely right! Thanks for catching that! You should add the 2dc to the end of the pattern for the 16th round and there also should have been an additional double crochet in the 17th. I've updated the pattern in my description. Thank you!
@@YarnByJodie thank you for replying, appreciate you! I’m making a car racing rug for my 2 yr old nephew that’s why I want to know the size so I know if I need to add the rows ☺️.
