Tarja IS one HELL of a showoman. I mean exactly that, no more or less. Her heart is in the performance and presence is undeniable. I don't think seeing this and knowing nothing else about future events, if told she woul go on to have a very very successful solo career, that anyone would doubt it. All that and fighting a cold as well. Maybe like us all we get entranced by Tarja that its not until seeing it a 2nd time you start to notice what you did not consciencely see the 1st time. Charisma and ability are both required to hold an audience and boy does she!
She is such an amazing artist. Please do react to End of all hope live in the Summer Breeze Festival 2002 and Tarja solo in Woodstock 2016 with Supremacy and Victim of ritual. Fantastic performances and atmosphere.

So, more TARJA, if you please! EOAEra 2005 is a great intro to #TarjaEra live performances. In addition to Phantom Of The Opera, my other EOAEra faves include Nemo, The Siren, Wishmaster, Planet Hell, Slaying The Dreamer, Bless The Child, Sleeping Sun, Creek Mary's Blood, and Over The Hills And Far Away - all excellent live performances. You may have reacted to some of these, but the other songs mentioned are equally great! ☺️
The whole performance is a pure energy blast! And man, look at Tarja spreading her arms like an eagle and headbanging to it! .. and yes, the mic always fits to her outfit! They put so much effort in it. Love these small details!
This is a great version, one of Tarja's best, showing her operatic vocals working well in a heavier song, at least in this one! Marko is very good too, full of emotion. Tuomas is all in. BUENOS AIRES 2018 version with Floor is good as well.

I think you missed a lot of live songs with Tarja because you only reacted to the studio version of the two albums. and Nightwish live has much more power. It's my opinion, no offense.
If i remember right, it is in the studio version, but mixed down a lot. heck even here they mixed her voice behind the instruments often throughout the concert. TBH i'm not a fan of studio albums from nightwish, in general. They tend to over produce their music

Well Tarja is definitelly better at the ending opera Ho-Ho-Ho part. But you should try Floor's version from Buenos Aires, cos she is kiling most of the song over Tarja's version.
