We recently moved our 60 gallon tank to a new house and when we set it back up, the filter would not run! I found your video and followed the cleaning instructions, and it started working again! Thanks for the great info!
One fish got stuck on the top intake, getting sucked in. To prevent this turn the bottom dial clock wise right, to turn the bottom intake on more right?
The Bottom Dial only opens or closes the Tube. The Main Intake is the front vertical slots, what people think is "Surface Skimmer". The is a secondary Intake grill to the Right of the Tube. The upper Dial controls the Flow Rate. This is Identical for the 55, 75, and 110. The 35 doesn't have a Tube just two grills.
I don't know why so many people say don't rinse your filter media in tap water. That is just a lie I've been rinsing all my tanks media in tap water for 50 years has never been a problem. I own a couple title filters and never had one stop working but did have to replace a motor due to the worn out impeller. But these are great filters
