    I've also heard there was a rumor or fear among some troops that the zinc base on the Williams bullets would push through the lead projectile to whiz downrange, leaving the lead stuck in the barrel.
    Not really sure if this could happen. I doubt it. But for what it's worth, that's another theory I've heard on why they were so disliked by the men.

    I'm thinking you should have a Tin cartridge measure... Just for the heck of having one but also fun to have cause they were attached to the powder horns commonly. At least in the American Backcountry. :) What grain count would you want??

      Oh, probably 60 grains. Every blank cartridge I make is 60 grains.
