Intricate and complex doesn't automatically make it better to a persons ear. Themata for me is their finest work. But hey thats just me.

Karnivool have come a looooooong way since this recording....this sounds like every local band in my hometown. Now they are one of the best prog/rock/insertlabelhere bands in the world imo. Honing their chops here....I love to see the evolution of bands. Ian's vox have now come full circle, songwriting, arrangements. Karnivool should sell 10 million albums.

@Sadahrah actually , this song is of their 1st EP which is self titled, purple cover with a ferris wheel on the cover, not many cd's were released, unless you went 2 their early gigs u wont find this cd anywhere xcept in my CD collection..
Alot of these song Da Reka , Some more of the same, Feather Weight and etc. came out on there EP but i dont know if there going to hit the new album i kinda doubt it maybe 1 or 2, but it would be nice to have them all. =)

I live in the US and it has been more than extremely difficult to see them live for many years...I envy anyone who gets a chance to see them on tour
They're recording an album at the moment. I caught them on the second-half of the Pre-Animation Tour. No doubt they'll do massive tours after dropping the album.
Side-note: The new songs sound fucking awesome!

of course the complex part is mostlly the drums...
Themata was too commercial . It was supposed to be their debut into the rock scene . Sound awake is where their music and lyricism REALLY started to shine.
This EP reminds me of Incubus.
