    Hi fellow Discovers. My name is Alan from Discovery Walking Tours. I will be doing my best to restart my walks in this "unique" time period in Singapore (and the world). I started this channel a year ago with an aim to "archive" as much footage as possible of our fast paced country. My concern at that time was, in perhaps another 20 to 30 years time, I might struggle to remember Singapore as it was and future generations would have "no" idea what Singapore was like. I took a hiatus because of the fear of the "unknown" (Covid-19). But I think this moment is an important event for Singapore, and I will do my best to record what life is like during this period. All future videos will indicated recording date and I will add some context to the day for further understanding.
    Context: On 22nd March, Singapore recorded 23 new Covid-19 cases, of which 18 were imported. Our government has encouraged all Singaporeans to come back in light of the severity of the pandemic overseas. On this early morning, the Singapore government decided to not allow short-term visitors to enter or transit through the country.

    H Alan, I can't thank you enough for your walking tours in Singapore and especially in 4K! You are doing God's work! Having grown up in Singapore and moved away at a young age, I greatly miss the city and hope one day I can come back and revisit the garden city. The nostalgia hit me hard when I see the hawker centers, MRT stations from your channel. Watching your videos help me to calm down after a day of mundane work and appreciate the time you took to film and upload these precious moments for us to see. Hope you stay safe in the midst of this pandemic!

      @@DiscoveryWalkingToursTV I left in 2012 so it's been a long time. I haven't even seen Terminal 4 at Changi Airport. So after the pandemic is over I would really like to visit.

    • @DiscoveryWalkingToursTV
      @DiscoveryWalkingToursTV  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Terminal 4 is quite nice. Last I recalled some of the budget airlines were stationed there. You would have to take a bus from Terminal 2 to Terminal 4 though, its slightly isolated with no skytrain connectivity.
