    Nice vid...juz a few important tips to take note of...(for rookie cruise travellers)...1. always always make sure to download the Dream Cruise mobile app before your seacation... 2. Tip your butler well when he/she guides you to your Palace Suite (you'd be surprised how well connected he/she is with all the staff) .... 3. Pre-book your meals at speciality restaurants (especially Umi Uma) before your cruise.... 😄

      normally how much we are supposed to pay as a tip?

  • @akagisg
    @akagisg ปีที่แล้ว

    Hi, for the specialty restaurants, is it also buffet-style where you can order as many as you want, as long as the dishes are within the set menu?

    • @whereisant
      @whereisant  ปีที่แล้ว

      No not quite. We went on this cruise when World Dream was under Genting management. Assuming you booked Palace Suite, guests at each specialty restaurant are given a set menu (not buffet style), with option to pay extra for upgrades. You still get buffet style food in the main Palace Restaurant if you want that, but the quality of food in specialty restaurant is definitely better.
      I'm not sure if this have changed since RW Cruises took over the cruise. According to their brochure here:
      rwcruises.com/assets/docs/The%20Palace%20Brochure.pdf
      The wording is "Set meal entitlements at designated specialty dining restaurants". Reading the brochure, it appears everything that was there under old management is still there. Hope that helps.
      Happy cruising!

    May I ask more about the speciality restaurants? Palace guest only can choose one restaurant per meal? And only can dine once in each speciality restaurant during the trip? Is it the same for palace restaurant?

    • @whereisant
      @whereisant  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You are not restricted to the same specialty restaurant once for each meal

    Haha your boy is cute! By any chance can we get to choose to get the staterooms or at least which deck our cabin is going to be?

    • @whereisant
      @whereisant  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes you do get to choose exactly which room and deck (similar to choosing airplane seats on a flight booking). You do however get a slight discount if you let them choose a room for you.

    • @whereisant
      @whereisant  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Apologies.. gave you the wrong info. It was Royal Caribbean cruise that allows us to choose the exact deck and room. Dream Cruises does not allow us to choose specific rooms at the time of booking.

    Is it free for all foods and beverages¿

    • @whereisant
      @whereisant  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      When I went on the cruise.. yes, basic food and beverage is included. But they have a lot of premium options that require top up should you get bored of the included food/beverage. Things may have changed though... So best to check directly with them

    Thank you for the video . Very well done too I must say. Well needless to say I "dropped by" your video as was doing some homework for my family Feb Seacation. May I know how much did you pay for the palace package in total? I am travelling with my wife and a One year old boy and the quotations/ infos that I got from DC & a couple of agency is rather different .

    • @whereisant
      @whereisant  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      About $3.5k.. prices vary wildly depending on when you're going and whatever promotion they have available at the time. We only ever booked directly on their website, and notice the prices can be closer to $2.5k if you don't have any restrictions on travel dates. We are stuck with travelling during school holidays because of our 7 year old. With 1 year old, you should be able to get a much better deal if you can travel outside peak periods.

    Hi, between junior suite royal carribean and this suite, which is better in your opinion? Same question for both cruise, which are better?

    • @whereisant
      @whereisant  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Not a fair comparison though. Deluxe palace suite is closer to the "grand suite" on Royal Caribbean as it gives you access to suite only areas with larger room size along with a concierge. So Dream Cruise Delux Palace suite is better compared to Junior Suite in that sense. For the cruise itself.. I prefer Royal Carribbean both for the food and activities. It's all personal preferences really. Both are great!

    • @whereisant
      @whereisant  3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      We went back in 2021 when this cruise was operated by Dream Cruises. Ownership have since changed to RWS (Resort World Sentosa) as far as I know. Back then, it was SGD $3800 for the 3 of us (2 adults, 1 child) for a 3 nights cruise.
      Would have no idea how much this cruise would be in the same room today. Hopefully that gives you an idea though.
