Still play 4.0 thanks to BMS, Steam, and my disk Allied Force copy. I am only 20 years old (practically 21 at the time of posting), but me and my dad would take turns flying missions. Not on full real mind you as he struggled quite a bit, and I was mabey 10 it was still very fun non the less. I just wish though a Falcon reboot, or anthor combat flight sim would make a dynamic campaign as good as Falcon's. After all that is why people still play a moded version of a game from 1998 lol. PS: Falcon also gave me the Viper addiction lol, love the plane sad to see it phased out even if it was always coming.
Awesome. Im younger than you and I used to play this with my dad on the easy realism modes when i was around 8 or 9 years old and I was addicted to it. I typically just played the original Falcon 4.0 1998 version on our old iMac G3 but got it on steam a few years ago so it could run on windows. I never really got into allied force or BMS though. There was this other game called A-10 Cuba! (1996) which I played more often with my dad (staring at 6 years old lol) and I still play and love it. I ended up getting DCS World back in like 2015 and it's now my go to flight sim. They have an amazing F-16c block 50 model and amazing maps to play on (Persian gulf, Caucasus mountains, Nevada test and training range, Normandy, Syria/Israel) but it can get pretty expensive and you need a good pc to run it. And many people like you still prefer to play BMS because of its dynamic campaign systems which DCS is not at par with. Although, they have said that they are working on making one similar to Falcon I believe. It would be interesting to see a falcon reboot but I doubt it since Microprose seems to be no longer around and it takes a LOT of time and money and people to make the physics engine and graphics to be able to compete with other flight sims. I too love the Viper and I don't think its going to get retired very soon (similarly with the A-10). A few years ago it seemed like they would be retired soon but I believe they are still doing updates on the A-10 and F-16 so they will be in service longer so that's good. They are much more practical to use in wars in 3rd world countries I would say because they are pretty cheap to maintain and practical to use compared to 5th gen anyways.

Thanks for letting me know. I got the others from the original falcon 4.0 files but I now see it in Falcon BMS where you said. It's in a different place in the original files. I recorded the unnamed one from in-game, because when i tried to piece the files together, there would be a slight skip between each piece. So thats why that one fades in and out unlike the others which I strpped directly from the files.

Yeah, my dad used to play flight sims and I got into them as a kid and I still am. I have this falcon soundtrack set as my DCS menu music lol.

It’s not missing in the game, it’s just missing from the main music folder in the game files I think.
