Tried this but had zero control. Called friends in their 30s and they couldn't do it either. Bought the little seat cart with handles that are lower to the ground, even worse. The left and right-hand turns were harsh. What are we doing wrong? The issue wa speed. We could not slow it down.

You use your feet to turn. Push your toes down on the left side and it makes that side go faster and so you will turn right.
