What a wonderful and touching message. ❤ It brings to mind the scripture that says: "For ye see your calling, brethren, how that not many wise men after the flesh, not many mighty, not many noble, are called: But God hath chosen the foolish things of the world to confound the wise; and God hath chosen the weak things of the world to confound the things which are mighty; And base things of the world, and things which are despised, hath God chosen, yea, and things which are not, to bring to nought things that are: That no flesh should glory in his presence." 1 Corinthians 1:26-29 How good God is to use those who are weak and foolish! That includes me! ❤

One of the first Christian comedians I heard after I was saved in 2008, maybe THE first. He had a little one minute segment the radio played every morning and I made every effort not to miss it. Thank you for sharing this sermon. For that matter, thank you for every video you post! I just found this channel a month or two ago. I've watched most of the new videos since then. When Ken Davis spoke about Moses and that Moses, in so many words, told The Lord God that he(Moses) felt like a “nobody”, this reminds me of the song by Casting Crowns - Nobody (Official Music Video) ft. Matthew West.

At first I thought it was going to be comedy but when he started talking about Christianity and God that was when I stopped it i went through life feeling like I was getting preached at and not to I haven't gone to church in years people think you have to go to church like my grandma does church is not WHERE YOU GO its WHERE you make it you can make it in your living room
He meant the things they happended to do a period their lifetime. Read chapter 11 of hebrews and study the peoples lives in the bible. Not all of them did something to that extent or it might not tell us but romans says we have all sinned snd fallen short of the glory of God. but instantce, noah was doing something immoral and drunk , samson married a philistine women not of God. Jacob was a deceiver, kiniver. His name jacob even means that. Until God changed his name to isreal. Thats when turned to God for salvation. Thats where we see that whatever it is in our life that is sin and marks us , when we turn to God. He changes our hearts and who we were into the image of his Son Jesus.
God picks whom He picks. To be honest, that can be terrifying. Especially since we cannot know exactly what He plans unless He tells us. Still, it's worth following Him; just because of who He is. Also, what's the point of fighting God? That just makes everyone miserable. God is smarter than me. He's stronger than me. That's why it's best to just listen. What's so onerous about being asked to be in a relationship with the Almighty when the alternative is NOT being in a relationship with the Almighty. Anyway, I agree that Martin Short would be a better casting choice. I'd love to see him act out the times Moses got exasperated.
For the most part you have a good message, but with all due respect please be careful when you speak about animals. If God didn't send animals in my life I would not have been a Christian. My life has been mostly abusive and because God sent Animals my direction I was able to see unconditional love which helped me love others even though they are not kind back to me. Just wanted to give you honest feedback. God bless.
He didn't really downgrade animals in this sermon. He was only comparing dogs and cats in terms of behaviour, which is why he joked about cats not being "Christian." In no way was he implying that he hates animals or that they are generally horrible. From what I gather in his videos, he's just more of a dog person.

Actually, I'm one of those fortunate enough to be forgiven of my sins against God, and I'm anticipating spending a joyous infinitely with God in His miraculous, everlasting place of eternal love and happiness. I can't imagine Heaven to be a place where this is no animals and birds. There has to be an abundance of animals and birds in that place of eternal joy and happiness. For some of us because of our experience with animals who interact with us in the terrestrial realms, Heaven without animals would be more like hell.

I don't know why they called this a stand up comedy special, it is a message. An entertaining style, yes, but a true sermon.
You're right- Ken delivers a Christian message in virtually every one of his shows. Still, he's clearly a stand-up comic, not a pastor.
