I've lived in Scottsdale for nearly eight years and this is the best walking tour video of Old Town Scottsdale I've seen yet! It's a lovely chill place in Arizona's Sonoran desert, one of the most lovely places in the Valley of the Sun, maybe the best!.
I do miss Scottsdale! Lived there all 30yrs of my life until recently. It’s funny looking back through my memories cataloguing all the changes the city has been through and how some things manage to hang around aka Gilbert Ortega & Sugar Bowl still going strong, but never thought I’d see a group of Segways zipping along those streets. Fashion Square mall was where all of us wanted to hang out in elementary and middle school, but in high school everyone was hanging out in Old Town Scottsdale.
Excellent video! Scottsdale Mall has hardly changed at all since I was last there three decades ago. Fifth Avenue has changed a little. Looks like all the empty lots in the neighborhood contain buildings now; but there are still tons of things I instantly recognize. I used to walk everywhere in this neighborhood several times a week. I'd guess that this was around 1 PM. It probably wasn't even 110° yet. Too bad it has such a hellhole of a climate.
So glad I found this old video. Scottsdale today in 2023 still looks the same, beautiful. The only exception is the Scottsdale Civic Ctr park. They tore it totally out, looks like they dropped a bomb on it. Stay away from it. Very depressing place to be.😊
The shopping can be pricey in old town, so it brings out an older and more touristy crowd. You can find a younger crowd at night when they go out to the bars and clubs in Scottsdale. 👍🍻
this video was taken before the incredible drought period that has started since 4 years ago. All...ALL places in the southwest are almost totally out of water. There is almost no water in the Colorado or most of the Southwestern states' lakes.
@@CityWander okay, I was being sarcastic. But NOWA...now...there is very little water. Most of the water that is left, is designated for the rich and elites' golf courses and supermarkets and govmt facilities and the military FRACKING bases and oil establishments underground. It is not for most of the general public. there is even a Saudi Arabia owned farm that grows edible nuts and fruits and uses TONS of water, somewhere in California.

Are there any issues with scorpions centipedes
You might see an occasional scorpion around, but I've never heard of centipede problems
@@CityWander thank you
Loved the video
What time of day?
Was this on the weekend?
Very few people around
Glad you enjoyed it! I believe it was a Tuesday morning.
Great video! What did you use to capture this video in 4k?
Thanks Kevin! This was shot with a GoPro. Thanks for watching! 👍
I'm moving to Arizona this year and thinking about living in Scottsdale. Is that a good place to live with family (wife and son)?
Scottsdale is a nice place to live. 🙂
Check the prices of real estate. Scottsdale is very expensive - but alot nicer than the slums of CA.
very good
Thanks for watching!
Want to move there

Seems like a nice place for old people. What's the young population there?

Nao tem mosquito? com tanto calor e planta?
Embora Scottsdale seja muito irrigado, o Arizona é seco, então não há muitos mosquitos. 💚😎
That's such a great video! Make more of these, but improve on the thumbnail. This video is worth a lot more views.
Appreciate it! Maybe you're right, maybe I'll update the thumb. Thanks for watching!
@@CityWander I really like that Civic Center with a fountain 😉

This video was taken on April 19, 2021. There's still water in Arizona.

Sorry - didn't catch the sarcasm. But yes, I do head over to a golf course a few days just to drink out of the sprinklers. I'm taking my share back!
Where are the people
🤷🏼
Beautiful on video, but it’s hot like hell on Earth 🥵 🔥
