Burgess MAY have scored the first English try, but it was with the compliments of the referee giving a dubious off side ruling and it is interesting to note the BBC did NOT replay that!

I can't see the sense in the mentalities of if I can't win then I can hurt em. It just shows the difference between 1st rate and 2nd rate players. Though after loosing for over 30 years I'd probably be a bit pissed to.
It has to be said that the second try of the English should not have happened as a penalty to Australia should have been the verdict after Slater was pushed over the line, it was clean that his ball carrying arm was on the ground and therefore the tackle completed!
The English STILL LOST by a margin in percentages of ALMOST 100% more! So the comments were just plain stupid and with the assistance of the referee the English came back from zip..which was well done....but not representative of the final score.

I dont think the referee was bad, but I wouldnt say he was good....he was certainly biased and played it that way.
