I'm still trying to understand how did we get here..
Personally, I'm sad and underwhelmed, so I'm trying to cope with that by creating a happy video with this two, you know, in contradiction to what we got ;)

A better ending would have been a time jump to Maeve coming back to Moordale, seeing Otis and saying ‘you waited’ and Otis replying ‘of course’ as a bit of a throwback to season 1
I truly believe these two are the definition of *right person wrong time* (especially since the writers said they'll see each other again in 10 years).

So many seasons and episodes of Otis and Maeve together, and it’s all over. Unfortunately every time I think it’s over, it leads to me to think about how it all ended between them, and it just makes me sad 😔 I’ll always love and support Motis!
End knocked me into a depressive state. Don’t think I’ve been this attached to characters like this before. Credit to the writing but it also felt like sour writing in the end due to season 4 being uncontrollably the last. Could feel season 4 being fresh written with all the new characters and old leaving. Wonder if the end was scripted before season 1 differently.
I totally agree. It doesn't feel like movie or show, it just feels like happing in real life and I really feel sad for them. Strange so, but it says a lot how incredibly good was this show done.

Even though they ended technically apart, at least they weren’t involved with anyone else. They are soulmates and will find their way back to each other even if we never get to see it 🤝🏻

I believe that too. The final was only the beggining of something beautiful in their relathionships, even in distance. They can’t be appart anymore.
We all fell in love with the show and these characters to just find out that they don’t end it being together. It just feels like they took us all on this emotional rollercoaster with no happy ending whatsoever. If you love someone which these two characters do you always will find a way to make it work. Why didn’t Otis just go with Maeve? if he loved her so much he would of went with her. It just don’t sit right with me. These characters deserved so much more.
i'm forever devastated
This is it. This is everything we wanted. Yet why do I feel so broken after that ending? They got the ending they needed to grow, but we got to feel everything we have suffered from the beginning. We have lost them, and any possibility of them getting back together can't happen because the story is over. It always seemed like time was working against them, and they never even gave the relationship a chance. It would be insufferable to exist alongside the person you love, but can't see. Maybe one day it will work out for them, but we will only ever be able to imagine that feeling.

I thought I was the only one who feels like this when they saw that they were not going to be together. The season to be the final was well but this end to break, my heart broke
This series is that best. Actually the best. I can't believe the show is over. But then the best shows need to end eventually...
Last season ruined it
I will never forgive the writers for the season 4 ending. I know that they want a realistic ending, but you have to think about the service the ending is will do and the closure of 4 seasons and the build up. It doesn’t deliver at all. Especially with Otis. He’s back in the same spot he was at the beginning of the show.

I really wanted them to end the series of having flashbacks to everyones lives especially once maeve was published as a writer and having maeve and otis reunite and finally be together, I hated that everyone else got a happy ending but them. That was the whole point of Sex Education and they kind of ruined it with that ending but I guess that can portray real life in a way that not everything will work out but it could of also showed that if things were meant to be (which it should have been for Maeve and Otis Love story) that it would all workout and not end like it did. Kind of disappointed with the ending of the show and sad thats the end of Sex Education as a whole.

I hear you brother! He should've moved heaven and earth to keep her. Any human being alive seeing what those kids started and went through would be cheering them on, because it's really what we all want for ourselves! Life is so damn hard sometimes, but if you are lucky enough, and blessed to walk through it with the person you love so much at your side, then not only will you make it, but you need not ever look back.........

Earlier in the series the music was a bit more edgy. I think finishing up on "Let it be", a truly great song was a bit of a 'candy floss' I think this song would have be far more appropriate and tapped into the raw emotion of the final Maeve and Otis break up. The Drones 'To think that I once loved you'
