    OMG! I cannot thank you enough! Just started with modular, had Minibrute SemiModular, but nothing as intense as this. I was going totally wacky but your tutorial gavotte spring board to get my head around it. Obviously as my first day I won't remember it all but I'll keep coming back and also trying myself to "toss some spaghetti around". Will mod def subscribe to your channel and save this tutorial of yours to my fav. THX-again!

      No problem at all, glad you found it helpful! Modular is a VERY deep rabbit hole so I wanted to try and get a video out covering some of the fundamental ideas so you can then start with enough info to get more in depth! I'll be doing some more stuff with Voltage in the near future!

    Hey, for anyone watching in 2020, they've updated the vst since then. So if anyone experiences a consistently lingering tone that get's annoying, turn down the input gain all the way on the amplifier. You'll still hear everything because the main volume will still be the same.

    Hello I'm got this with a bundle that came with my Presonus interface. My question is how and when do I use this. I'm using studio one for my DAW and I thought if i just dragged this into the desired track that I choose that I could then play my keyboard but trigger Voltage which seems not to be working? Also if I play something and record it can I just slap this on what I played and try to change it? Thanks for you help and the video was awesome I just could not get it to work tonight.

    Thanks for this tutorial , i just discover "Voltage Modular Nucleus" which is free actually with the sanitary crysis and in the same time the modular synthesis.
    Little questions :
    - my arp's CV sliders are limited into the range C2 to C7, impossible to put a C1, it is from a parameter or do you think it is from the version?
    - is there a module in this bundle able to manage the mid/side?
    Hope you will do more videos with this kind of powerfull technique of "double arp" which allows a lot of possibilities and fun !!
    Once again THANKS for the great job !

    • @VenusTheory
      @VenusTheory  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yo! Not quite sure what you're referring to offhand there about the CV slider, but you might reach out to their tech support for help with that!
      As for mid/side, Nucleus doesn't offer any mid/side modules but I think there might be one or two in the store! Glad you enjoyed the video!

    1) I'm quite misunderstood - how exactly connect "stop" and "play" jacks in step sequencer to make them playable with my keyboard?
    I'm really confused and see no logic around here, because i need to connect it where exactly?
    I understand, that i can go with anything to "play" jack, but how to stop it properly?
    I mean only when i'm hitting the keys it's making sequence and when i'm releasing keys - it's stops.
    2) How about using it as VST and syncing with DAW tempo?

    What does it mean to connect two outputs to the same input?

    • @dewil7313
      @dewil7313 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could connect two (or all) of the oscillators waveform outputs to the input of the amplifier for example. You would have two or more cables going for the input in this case. Makes for a whole different sound than just a sinewave. Or you could try it with LFO ?? ;)

    Do you know how to make automate clip from cutoff like in other vst plugins in fl

    • @VenusTheory
      @VenusTheory  5 ปีที่แล้ว

    heyo, thanks for the tutorial!
    Quick question: when I patched the line from pitch, into amplifier, then into MAIN OUTS, the saw sound keeps on playing. It still responds to key triggers, but it just keeps on playing. Any idea how to stop it/make it completely key-trigger only? Cheers

    • @deedee8229
      @deedee8229 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      re the connection:
      just realised that I don't have KEYB CV, but rather just a PITCH CV. Maybe that's the problem?

    • @VenusTheory
      @VenusTheory  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yo! For that you would need to add an Envelope with the CV modifying the Amplifier and trigger the envelope with the Gate in the I/O panel.
      As for Keyb CV and Pitch CV - these are the same thing, it was just renamed in the updated version.

    Idk if I'm dumb but the part at 12:50 loses me. I right click, "edit value", type in C1, press enter but it goes back to default

    • @VenusTheory
      @VenusTheory  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Interesting! Perhaps that behavior was changed. I just tested it, and was able to enter a note by clicking and entering a value, then clicking away.

    • @jclosed2516
      @jclosed2516 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@VenusTheory Hmm.. For some reason the note value in the step sequencer won't go below C2. This is with version 2.2.4.
      Not a biggie, but when following this tutorial I had to add 1 to every value given. I don't know if there is some basic setting (in the whole application or only for the step sequencer) that can change that, but as said - It's not really a problem.
