Thomas Edison
Thomas Edison, the wizard of Menlo park
No matter how bad people think about Edison, Edison was a complete human being who was able to revolutionize the technology industry from discovery to marketing.
Thank you so much! This video is efficient and short. It has alot of information in just 2 minutes! This helped my project speed up alot. Thank you so much again!
A lot of Edison's "inventions" were actually innovations, improvements on already existing concepts.
@MissByrdtheSecretary
I’d call him a thief
Very true!
Still very important, and, without which, we'd all be much poorer.
@@BuyTheDip627 Totally agree. In recent years it's almost become popular to over-demonize Edison. He was a game changer, though.
@@BuyTheDip627 true, He helped giving electricity to homes in america
Edison is often vilified more than he deserves. No matter how you look at it, he revolutionized science and industry forever. Was he perfect? Not a chance. That doesn't discredit what he and his company were able to do.
EDISON was a thief.. no matter what he invented. 😡😡😡
Stupid tesla bots combined with some nationalists idiots try to discredit the wizard of Menlo park
Not to mention general electric is his legacy.
tesla....
@@coolmate4069If you don’t use flashlights, candles or kerosene lamps, you’re a self proclaimed accomplice. 😏
He was born in 1847, not 1854. And Milan is pronounced with the accent on the second syllable. The light bulb was invented in 1879, not 1880.
Thanks
@@sarahhale2456 You're welcome.
He patented his invention in 1880
all men are liars.
He was the Steve Jobs of his time. An unscrupulous, ruthless person with an undeniable footprint.
And he steals other peoples inventions
@@timecyb3r801 Yup. I remember watching an incredible demo of multi-touch screen around 2005.
Two years later Jobs was unveiling iPhone, showing multi-touch: "You can do multi-finger gestures on it. And boy have we patented it!"
Bravo...
And Edison stole other people’s inventions
Edison is a thief..
Yup, take other peoples idea's and make them better then sell for $$$$$$$$$$$. Edison screwed over Tesla, if he had just paid Tesla then Edison would have OWNED the ENTIRE Electric industry including the BILLIONS of electric motors.
And now we are to lose the ability to use the incandescent bulb
If it weren’t for Thomas Edison, we’d all be watching TV by candlelight.
I’ve yet to meet someone who uses candles or kerosene lamps. 😂
@@arielsea9087 I still use Lizzo whale blubber in my lamps.
Thanks is helped me a lot...
He founded a lot!
Thank you Thomas Edison
12 million in 1931 is valued at $221 million today.
Thank you 💝
I love elektrical sience.
Super eficient ceea ce a realizat.
Its all about your mind attitude.to never never give up
Thomas Edison, is the reason people age quickly in the U.S. Also if he " invented " motion picture then why are there barely any videos or motion pictures of him available? That doesn't actually make any sense. Maybe he was afraid of his motion picture invention like he was afraid of his X ray invention by being burned by his X ray maybe who knew something was inherently wrong with his inventions, being the inventor.
Thanks helped on my essay
💝💝
I love Thomas Edison! A truly genius man! And my birthday is also on February 11th, same as Mr. Edison's.
Me too. Thats why hes my fave scientist. Feb 11 too
You mean Nikola Tesla? Edison is a fraud. Do some research
@@lovelife9352 yeah I did and Edison was better
@@lovelife9352, Nikola Tesla was born on July 10.
@@lovelife9352 you fans must not speak about research , you do your research or just search in the net why tesla is overrated. Or see in the wikipedia, tesla invented nothing than that coil which is completely useless for what purpose it is created
Remarkable
Didnt even get his birth date correct...
My project is due tomorrow Lol and I haven't started !!!!

Luis Hurtado i have to do an essay
SAME! ;-; ugh
Very interesting
Good thing i found this vid
Ikr I need to finish my project on Thomas Edison
Samantha Dodson same
Tesla invented AC. Edison used DC power. DC was a big fail trying to light light bulbs at a distance.
Edison was born 1847? There's a few things wrong with this video
Any Nicola Tesla fans 💜💜
Big time NikolaTesla fan, he was the greatest inventor of the world, he took darkness of the night & turned on the light on for the world. He wanted to give electricity away for free, the giant Tesla coil he was constructing until Westinghouse found out & stopped financing. What Edison did to Tesla was cold hearted, it's all good Tesla 👍 made Edison pay for his deceit.
No
@@circlejerks873Tesla was a kook.

He was married twice but his first wife was 16 when they wed but she died at age 29. And he was divorced after another marriage
Thomas Edisons youngest son Theodore, married my cousin ( Anna Osterhaut ).. Thomas Edison was never divorced- Get your "Supposed facts" straight... This is my family !!

I had to read this biography and I did not do it
February 11 1847-October 18 1931
Age 84
Why he died I wish I meet him
Well sadly, Thomas Edison did not have mortality, which corresponds to how you cannot meet him today.

Merica, the land of the first light bulb! Murica!
Humphry Davy was British.
@@Edthebirdman, let’s not forget another Englishman, Joseph Wilson Swan.
So none of the innovations developed by Edison would ever have been achieved if he had not lived? What malarky! As with all inventors, Edison was a product of the times. Many other men were working on the same things as Edison. He developed them first, and was undoubtably a genius, but to say that without Thomas Edison we would not have the light bulb is ludicrous.
Of course you're correct.
But noting much of anything on YT is valid is like thinking hollywood makes truthful movies :)
this opens with a lie as he didn't invent the light bulb
He did
Go back to school
I'MJM wrong Humphrey Davy invented the light bulb in 1802 Edison just improved on it
You're right that he didn't. A better way to say that is that he "perfected" the light bulb. There were around 20 other inventors who had patented light bulbs before Edison. His was cheap and lasted--hence why he gets credit.
He a practical light bulb so he did
You forgot to add that he stole every invention from Tesla and other inventors.
MissByrdtheSecretary he stole ideas, and made improvements in them, than he claimed that he was the one who invented hem. The movie camera, which was invented by a guy named luis let prince from france three years before it was publicly shown by Edison. The dude mysteriously disappeared from the train he got on to New York in order to formally present his invention, he was never found and the documents of his invention was gone as well(it's just a theory since Thomas was kinda infamous for claiming inventions like the electric chair, storage batteries, X ray, wax paper and power generator) yeh, my respect for this guy went down the drain.
Don’t make me laugh.
TE aside, no fascist 'guv' will tell me what light bulbs to use. I have and always will use those of my choice, the *healthful* incandescent. (As soon as I determined the led's were grossly unhealthy, it was an easy decision.)
Also Thomas Edison actually lost his mind . The guy is old. The guy didn't age well and he had cognitive problems. But people keep saying he was the greatest inventor of all time. But he wasn't even well.
Qui est la pour la section euro?
he was not born in 1854 he was born in 1847

Tesla gave us electricity
Edison gave us light bulbs and others
He stole nikola tesla's great ideas so do not credit him for all the inventions coz fmthe reality is he money hungry.
He didn’t steal anything from Tesla. They had disagreements on the best way to transfer electricity, ultimately they were both right on that, but he didn’t steal anything from Tesla.
