I was able to try the 2.8 Q Fortuner, and compared to the 2016 2.4 V I test drove before, the biggest improvement is definitely in power. It was slightly more refined too. In my opinion, the new 2.8 is the best engine among the PPVs, even compared to the biturbo Everest which feels a bit too heavy. However, I 100% agree with sir Levi's review. Despite the excellent engine, I think the overall feel of the Fortuner is a bit too agricultural, especially in ride quality, handling, interior quality and setup, and refinement. While not really a desirable choice, I'm sure the Fortuner definitely will last and stand the test of time.
i think toyota fortuner is good car for most people. depende din yan sa perspective eh. coming from older car, fortuner is great enough. sa mga casual buyers looks & aftersales lang ang importante sa kanila. however, mataas expectations and standards ni sir since he is an enthusiast and may mazda3 montero at terra siya + natry niya na rin ibang ppv like everest and new mu-x, kaya makikita ko bakit naddisappoint si sir.

I think this comment nailed it. Fortuner was designed to appeal to the masses, not for the enthusiasts. For enthusuasts who want the best of the best, steer clear from the Fortuner but the Fortuner is excellent enough for regular buyers, which are the majority.

We bought 2022 Fortuner V just this week, and for me, ok ang ride quality niya, smooth naman. Meron ding sharp na tagtag paminsan depende sa road surface, pero most of the time ok siya. Hindi rin gaanong rinig ang engine sa loob, pati vibration ng makina ay minimal din. Though nasa ibabaw nga ang kagat ng brakes so ang tendency ay napapalakas ang nose dive pag complete stop. We chose it for total ownership hassle free experience, future proof din pag simple ang design unlike some overstyled cars na madaling mawala sa uso at nakakaumay pag marami na sa kalsada.
Kung makokontento ka lang talagang wala man difference, lalu na kapag pinaghirapan mo yan bilhen. Most of the reviews kasi best of the best talaga hinahanap kahit konti lang difference papansinin, syempre para sa audience. Sa totoo lang siguro manga nasa 70% nang bumibili looks lang hanap e. Lahat kasi ng PPV konting kontiiii lang difference nila sa isat isa. Ps Im not a toyota fan neither I will buy their cars lol
If fortuner lang po nasubokan nyo among PPV then wala pong problema dahil maganda naman talaga syang idrive, pero pag nakasubok ka ng other ppv like everest and montero then maninibago ka talaga just like sir levi dahil mas magaan at mas comfortable talaga ang Everest at monty compare sa fort
@@MadMax-wh6oe Sa mga passenger mas preferrable talaga ang plush ride pero as a driver madali kang magkaka motion sickness kapag floaty ang suspension, parang same sensation pag nakasakay ka sa bus. Iba iba talaga ang preference ng tao, for me tama lang ang bigat ng steering wheel at play ng suspension, in fact yung feel ng lubak parang lubak sa runway pag nakasakay ka ng airplane, not the top notch in its class but it's good enough.Though yung vibration evident siya kasi nung dinrive ko uli yung honda city ko akala ko hindi ko pa nai-on yung engine dahil walang nginig sa cabin.
I really like how you review cars Mr Levi, honest na honest talaga! Toyota cars lean more on the stiffer ride talaga. We own a montero and a fortuner, when comparing them mas nakakapagod talagang idrive ang fortuner dahil mas matatag, noisier at speed and mas mabigat yung steering feel. However, naoobserve ko sa tao na mas prefer parin talaga nila ang toyota dahil sa reputation ng reliability and feeling din ng ibang tao reassuring yung stiffness ng ride ng toyota, haha. The true advantage of the toyota fortuner that I can identify is how wide the model range is, offering different trim levels which is very friendly sa mga buyers, unlike other vehicle brands na iisa lang ang engine option and limited trim levels lang ang inooffer (no special editions aside from the top of the line).
On low speed medyo matalbog( not in a sense n masusuka ka specially sa 2nd and 3rd row ) nga fortuner but on high speed specially 100kph+ hindi na po sya matalbog and can corner on high-speed din po i cant feel na unstable sya - fortuner g 2019 owner here
We have Everest, MuX, Montero right now. So far ma tag2 din Naman haha. Kaya gusto namin palitan Ang Everest ng terra or Fortuner. 4 times na kami nag ka problema since 2016 pag bili ng Everest Buti nalang nag ka problem sya during warranty period. After warranty turbo hose sumabog. Dahil Sa video na to terra nalang guro.
Matagtag talaga yung ganyang platform dahil ladder frame siya. It all boils down kung anong model ang pinaka least matagtag. For comfort the best talaga and uni body SUVs

V variant 4x4 yang tinest drive ni sir levi so 2.8L yan. D mo ba narinig 174hp sabi nya? Kitang kita din exterior sa mags palang at chromed window accent V variant na.

That why sir levi a lot of fortuner owners upgrade their suspension , king springs ,ride max 4-way or profender 16 way suspension. To get the comfort ride they need on city and highway driving.
Tama po pero not all po eh kaya po mag upgrade right away ng mga after market suspensions kaya maganda yung paglabas palang ng casa eh balance na yung performance ng suspension

Matagtag ang fortuner pag walang load or passengers sa likod due to its suspension. Pag loaded it’s okay. It’s design from a pickup suspension that’s why. If you need an suv for heavier loads, Fortuner will be a good choice.

Diesel consumption should not be an issue if you own a mid-size SUV. I own a Terra. I think it is fuel-efficient. If it eats up fuel too much in traffic, it does not matter.
Hp and Torque improvement is definitely true, but fuel efficiency is still based on how you stress the pedal. And yes hindi talaga fuel efficient ang engine ng terra parang kulang nga sa refinement. Mitsubishis 2.4 engine on the other hand is very fuel efficient even when the pedal is stressed all the way, this is maybe caused by mitsubishis mivec technology.
Depende kung saan mo gagamitin kung pang service lang maganda raptor pogi na agad and kung business naman you can never go wrong with the hilux, in the end of the day you can change the suspension of the hilux for a more comfortable ride

@@lgnban6919 if 100kg lang yung max na isasakay mo go for the ranger wildtrack or navarra VL nalang. Performance truck si raptor kaya built siya for off road and for baja racing. But yung top of the line ng ranger or navarra mas maraming features, mas all purpose, at mas mura pa. Sayang kasi magraptor if for daily use lang or back-up car. Bukod sa looks, baka di mo maenjoy other features niya.
Yan ang gusto ko brutally honest. Kung hindi satisfied then sabihin. Siguro yung ibang reviewers nag sugar coat kasi baka d sila maka ulit sa dealers. Haha

tagtag nga talaga but nothing a suspension upgrade can’t fix. whatever the cons the fortuner has probably does not matter for most since it’s still the top selling midsize suv. Fortnuer has that classy look & no matter what bad reviews the fortuner gets it still gonna be the preferred choice of most. numbers don’t lie.

We bought 2022 Fortuner V just this week, and for me, ok ang ride quality niya, smooth naman. Meron ding sharp na tagtag paminsan depende sa road surface, pero most of the time ok siya. Hindi rin gaanong rinig ang engine sa loob, pati vibration ng makina ay minimal din. Though nasa ibabaw nga ang kagat ng brakes so ang tendency ay napapalakas ang nose dive pag complete stop. We chose it for total ownership hassle free experience, future proof din pag simple ang design unlike some overstyled cars na madaling mawala sa uso at nakakaumay pag marami na sa kalsada.
Kung makokontento ka lang talagang wala man difference, lalu na kapag pinaghirapan mo yan bilhen. Most of the reviews kasi best of the best talaga hinahanap kahit konti lang difference papansinin, syempre para sa audience. Sa totoo lang siguro manga nasa 70% nang bumibili looks lang hanap e. @@MadMax-wh6oe Sa mga passenger mas preferrable talaga ang plush ride pero as a driver madali kang magkaka motion sickness kapag floaty ang suspension, parang same sensation pag nakasakay ka sa bus. Iba iba talaga ang preference ng tao, for me tama lang ang bigat ng steering wheel at play ng suspension, in fact yung feel ng lubak parang lubak sa runway pag nakasakay ka ng airplane, not the top notch in its class but it's good enough.Though yung vibration evident siya kasi nung dinrive ko uli yung honda city ko akala ko hindi ko pa nai-on yung engine dahil walang nginig sa cabin.

Toyota cars lean more on the stiffer ride talaga. We own a montero and a fortuner, when comparing them mas nakakapagod talagang idrive ang fortuner dahil mas matatag, noisier at speed and mas mabigat yung steering feel. However, naoobserve ko sa tao na mas prefer parin talaga nila ang toyota dahil sa reputation ng reliability and feeling din ng ibang tao reassuring yung stiffness ng ride ng toyota, haha. The true advantage of the toyota fortuner that I can identify is how wide the model range is, offering different trim levels which is very friendly sa mga buyers, unlike other vehicle brands na iisa lang ang engine option and limited trim levels lang ang inooffer (no special editions aside from the top of the line).
G variant kasi.. pero if yung GRs siguro, baka maganda n madrive and hnd bumpy?

On low speed medyo matalbog( not in a sense n masusuka ka specially sa 2nd and 3rd row ) nga fortuner but on high speed specially 100kph+ hindi na po sya matalbog and can corner on high-speed din po i cant feel na unstable sya

We have Everest, MuX, Montero right now. So far ma tag2 din Naman haha. Kaya gusto namin palitan Ang Everest ng terra or Fortuner. 4 times na kami nag ka problema since 2016 pag bili ng Everest Buti nalang nag ka problem sya during warranty period. After warranty turbo hose sumabog. Dahil Sa video na to terra nalang guro.
Matagtag talaga yung ganyang platform dahil ladder frame siya. It all boils down kung anong model ang pinaka least matagtag. For comfort the best talaga and uni body SUVs

For the engine the one you test drove is only the 2.4L 147 Hp not 176. In the 2020 model only 4x4 comes with the 2.8 which can produce 176 hp.
V variant 4x4 yang tinest drive ni sir levi so 2.8L yan. D mo ba narinig 174hp sabi nya? Kitang kita din exterior sa mags palang at chromed window accent V variant na.

Tama po pero not all po eh kaya po mag upgrade right away ng mga after market suspensions kaya maganda yung paglabas palang ng casa eh balance na yung performance ng suspension

Matagtag ang fortuner pag walang load or passengers sa likod due to its suspension. Pag loaded it’s okay. It’s design from a pickup suspension that’s why. If you need an suv for heavier loads, Fortuner will be a good choice.

Terra is the best ride. ECU remapping will add more HP and Torque and fuel efficiency making it the best all around SUV in my opinion

Diesel consumption should not be an issue if you own a mid-size SUV. I own a Terra. I think it is fuel-efficient. If it eats up fuel too much in traffic, it does not matter.
Hp and Torque improvement is definitely true, but fuel efficiency is still based on how you stress the pedal.
And yes hindi talaga fuel efficient ang engine ng terra parang kulang nga sa refinement.
Mitsubishis 2.4 engine on the other hand is very fuel efficient even when the pedal is stressed all the way, this is maybe caused by mitsubishis mivec technology.

Depende kung saan mo gagamitin kung pang service lang maganda raptor pogi na agad and kung business naman you can never go wrong with the hilux, in the end of the day you can change the suspension of the hilux for a more comfortable ride

@@lgnban6919 if 100kg lang yung max na isasakay mo go for the ranger wildtrack or navarra VL nalang. Performance truck si raptor kaya built siya for off road and for baja racing. But yung top of the line ng ranger or navarra mas maraming features, mas all purpose, at mas mura pa. Sayang kasi magraptor if for daily use lang or back-up car. Bukod sa looks, baka di mo maenjoy other features niya.

tagtag nga talaga but nothing a suspension upgrade can’t fix. whatever the cons the fortuner has probably does not matter for most since it’s still the top selling midsize suv. Fortnuer has that classy look & no matter what bad reviews the fortuner gets it still gonna be the preferred choice of most. numbers don’t lie.
