প্রকৃত মানুষ ও প্রকৃত কবি ছিলেন আমাদের প্রিয় কবি, কবি কাজী নজরুল ইসলাম। যিনি ছিলেন, একাধারে, প্রেমের কবি, বিদ্রোহী কবি, সাম্যের কবি, দুঃখী কবি। যার ছিল অনেক প্রতিভা, জীবনে ছিল অনেক দুঃখ, আমি এই মহৎ ও জ্ঞানী কবির জীবন নিয়ে অনেক পড়েছি, মহান আল্লাহ তায়ালার কাছে ফরিয়াদ আল্লাহ তায়ালা যেন এই প্রেমের কবিকে জান্নাতুল ফেরদৌসের দান করে। আল্লাহ মহান।

কবি কাজী নজরুল ইসলাম এর বয়স নিয়ে অধ্যাপক তাজ হাশমীর অনুমান মোটামুটি সঠিক । আমার বাবাকে জিজ্ঞেস করেছিলাম নজরুল ইসলাম এর বয়স সম্বন্ধে । তাঁর উত্তর ছিল, "আমার সমসাময়িক "। আমার বাবার জন্ম ছিল আঠারো শত অষ্টাশি সালে । কাজেই একজন ঐতিহাসিক এর স্বভাবসূলভ প্রজ্ঞা দিয়ে তিনি সঠিক মূল্যায়ন করেছেন । তাঁহাকে ধন্যবাদ ।

Tagore lived in Calcutta but he spent a lot of time in parts of East Bengal or present Bangladesh and his poems, songs, novels and other creative things are based on those places and their culture. So many of us finds a connection with him. Tagore was wrong on many issues.
আসি সঙ্গীতের প্রসঙ্গে।রবীন্দ্রনাথের গানের সুর বড় অংশ ধ্রুপদ শৈলীর।অন্য অনেক গান বাউলাঙ্গের,বাকী পাশ্চাত্ত্য সুরের প্রভাব লক্ষণীয়। ভারতবর্ষে উত্তর ভারতীয় উচ্চাঙ্গ সঙ্গীতে সুরেরই সৌন্দর্য,বাণী সেথায় সামান্য।এদিকে বাঙলার নিজস্ব কীর্তন,বাউল,কবিগানে কথারই প্রাধান্য, সুরের গভীরতা হেথায় অল্প।রবীন্দ্রনাথের গানে সুর ও বাণীর সেই আশ্চর্য আলৌকিক সমন্বয়,সঙ্গে অপূর্ব কাব্যিকতা।এ যেন কালিদাসের কাব্যের সৌন্দর্যের সঙ্গে মোজার্টের সুরের মূর্ছনার ঝর্ণাধারা।তাঁর অধিকাংশ গান প্রয়োজনে রচনা নয়,এ " শিল্পের জন্য শিল্প "। তাই তিনি একদা লিখেছেন, " ....নিজেকে বলি,এই রইল তোমার গান, কাল একে হরণ করতে পারবে না "। অপরদিকে নজরুলের গানের সুর মুলত টপ্পা-ঠুঙরী ভিত্তিক।এ দুই শৈলী সঙ্গীতের অপেক্ষাকৃত লঘু ধারা।তাঁর গানের বানীতে মানবিক প্রেম,চাঁদ,ফুল,সমাধি,জোছনার প্রভাব অধিক।তাছাড়া তিনি গ্রামোফোন কোম্পানির বেতনভুক গীতিকার ও সুরকার ছিলেন। তাই অনেক গানই জীবিকার প্রয়োজনে লেখা।
ওদেরকে এসব জানিয়ে লাভ নেই ভাই,উলুবনে মুক্তো ছড়ানো,মীর জাফরের বংশধর......নজরুল কে আমরা প্রাণ থেকেই ভালোবাসি শ্রদ্ধা করি ,নজরুল ও হিন্দুদেরকে ভালোবাসতেন ,অনেক সম্মান করতেন তাই তিনি হিন্দু প্রমীলা দেবীকে বিয়ে করেছিলেন ,একজন শিক্ষিত লোক হয়ে এত সাম্প্রদায়িকতা কী করে ছড়াতে পারেন ভেবে আশ্চর্য হয়ে যাচ্ছি ... আর কোন বিষয় হয়তো ওনার হাতে নেই বলার জন্য তাই এখন রবীন্দ্রনাথকে নিয়ে পড়েছেন...
With due respect to learned Taj Hashni, it may be true that Nazrul was not born exactly in1899, but he is unlikely to be born in 1889 or 1888.He was studying in class X in 1917 when he joined the army. His army life was only for 2 to 3 years. Within that short time he was promoted as a surgent (Havildar). He was not promoted as a Havildar major, but just a habildar. So it cannot be said that he must have served in the army for about 10 years to get promoted.
Rabindranath was not in Calcutta when in March 1912 a meeting was held in Calcutta-Maidan, to oppose the establishment of Dakha University. Rabindranath send his son to the USA to study agriculture and established a separate school to teach the farmers and tribal people in Birbhum to teach better method of farming and cottage industry. It is not true that Rabindranath was de-touched from the farmers.

Inferiority complex is dangerous. We call Giticar, sangeetkar, surocar and so on and give titles to writers and musicians. There is nothing high and low, just titles given to two greats. What Rabindranath should do with other country's religion or music? We have got enough so we do not need to borrow from others. Those who are poor they will seek help. Even Dacca did not want Sylhet to develope in those days. Such things happens in the world. England proper did not want Scotland or. Wealls to develope the same way. There are various reasons for it. Two hundred years ago things were different. Two Universities in Bengal in those days were not self sustaining. Today dozens of universities are coming up every year in India, nobody cares. So time is the factor, that should be kept in mind. Education means openness of mind to improve one's power of imagination. In mid forties we could not even start a high school in between five villages for want of adequate number of teachers as well as students and it took another fifty years to have one. Now, if we blame the high school authorities of Kulaura for their previous stand, it will be unfair, for at that time to maintain one school for want of prerequisites was a difficult task. Now, things have changed. Therefore, to compare a thing happened 150 years ago with today's is a childish attempt. In India every district is going to have one University toda. About Rabindranath it is your propriety to accept or not, but do not unnecessarily drag him down for it will be unbecoming.

Tagore lived in Calcutta but he spent a lot of time in parts of East Bengal or present Bangladesh and his poems, songs, novels and other creative things are based on those places and their culture. So many of us finds a connection with him. Tagore was wrong on many issues.

আসি সঙ্গীতের প্রসঙ্গে।রবীন্দ্রনাথের গানের সুর বড় অংশ ধ্রুপদ শৈলীর।অন্য অনেক গান বাউলাঙ্গের,বাকী পাশ্চাত্ত্য সুরের প্রভাব লক্ষণীয়।
ভারতবর্ষে উত্তর ভারতীয় উচ্চাঙ্গ সঙ্গীতে সুরেরই সৌন্দর্য,বাণী সেথায় সামান্য।এদিকে বাঙলার নিজস্ব কীর্তন,বাউল,কবিগানে কথারই প্রাধান্য, সুরের গভীরতা হেথায় অল্প।রবীন্দ্রনাথের গানে সুর ও বাণীর সেই আশ্চর্য আলৌকিক সমন্বয়,সঙ্গে অপূর্ব কাব্যিকতা।এ যেন কালিদাসের কাব্যের সৌন্দর্যের সঙ্গে মোজার্টের সুরের মূর্ছনার ঝর্ণাধারা।তাঁর অধিকাংশ গান প্রয়োজনে রচনা নয়,এ " শিল্পের জন্য শিল্প "। তাই তিনি একদা লিখেছেন, " ....নিজেকে বলি,এই রইল তোমার গান, কাল একে হরণ করতে পারবে না "।
অপরদিকে নজরুলের গানের সুর মুলত টপ্পা-ঠুঙরী ভিত্তিক।এ দুই শৈলী সঙ্গীতের অপেক্ষাকৃত লঘু ধারা।তাঁর গানের বানীতে মানবিক প্রেম,চাঁদ,ফুল,সমাধি,জোছনার প্রভাব অধিক।তাছাড়া তিনি গ্রামোফোন কোম্পানির বেতনভুক গীতিকার ও সুরকার ছিলেন। তাই অনেক গানই জীবিকার প্রয়োজনে লেখা।
ওদেরকে এসব জানিয়ে লাভ নেই ভাই,উলুবনে মুক্তো ছড়ানো,মীর জাফরের বংশধর......নজরুল কে আমরা প্রাণ থেকেই ভালোবাসি শ্রদ্ধা করি ,নজরুল ও হিন্দুদেরকে ভালোবাসতেন ,অনেক সম্মান করতেন তাই তিনি হিন্দু প্রমীলা দেবীকে বিয়ে করেছিলেন ,একজন শিক্ষিত লোক হয়ে এত সাম্প্রদায়িকতা কী করে ছড়াতে পারেন ভেবে আশ্চর্য হয়ে যাচ্ছি ... আর কোন বিষয় হয়তো ওনার হাতে নেই বলার জন্য তাই এখন রবীন্দ্রনাথকে নিয়ে পড়েছেন...
With due respect to learned Taj Hashni, it may be true that Nazrul was not born exactly in1899, but he is unlikely to be born in 1889 or 1888.He was studying in class X in 1917 when he joined the army. His army life was only for 2 to 3 years. Within that short time he was promoted as a surgent (Havildar). He was not promoted as a Havildar major, but just a habildar. So it cannot be said that he must have served in the army for about 10 years to get promoted.
Rabindranath was not in Calcutta when in March 1912 a meeting was held in Calcutta-Maidan, to oppose the establishment of Dakha University.
Rabindranath send his son to the USA to study agriculture and established a separate school to teach the farmers and tribal people in Birbhum to teach better method of farming and cottage industry. It is not true that Rabindranath was de-touched from the farmers.

@hrshv harey Out of 23 districts in West Bengal, only few districts have its own university. Mostly versities are concentrated in and around Kolkata only and it's an issue for both hindus and muslims and everybody else. This is nothing to do with any communal discrimination. So first introspect yourself and use your own head with logic ( if exists i doubt)before getting agitated with such communal videos. Stop looking everything under communal glass. Inferiority complex is dangerous. We call Giticar, sangeetkar, surocar and so on and give titles to writers and musicians. There is nothing high and low, just titles given to two greats. What Rabindranath should do with other country's religion or music? We have got enough so we do not need to borrow from others. Those who are poor they will seek help. Even Dacca did not want Sylhet to develope in those days. Such things happens in the world. England proper did not want Scotland or. Wealls to develope the same way. There are various reasons for it. Two hundred years ago things were different. Two Universities in Bengal in those days were not self sustaining. Today dozens of universities are coming up every year in India, nobody cares. So time is the factor, that should be kept in mind. Education means openness of mind to improve one's power of imagination. In mid forties we could not even start a high school in between five villages for want of adequate number of teachers as well as students and it took another fifty years to have one. Now, if we blame the high school authorities of Kulaura for their previous stand, it will be unfair, for at that time to maintain one school for want of prerequisites was a difficult task. Now, things have changed. Therefore, to compare a thing happened 150 years ago with today's is a childish attempt. In India every district is going to have one University toda. About Rabindranath it is your propriety to accept or not, but do not unnecessarily drag him down for it will be unbecoming.
