Interesting thread this 👍 Has anyone else seen that due to public pressure the frontline services in NYC are having to rollout the electronic Hilo tone to replace Rumblers and the traditional yelp/wail? Apparently Rumbler and the such are too loud and also... "Intimidating" 🤔 Must admit, I use Hilo intermittently as per my training, especially at junctions etc, but I can't imagine using it during the entirety of the run?!
Firstly, nice video, that police unit responding past the fire station wasn't hanging around where they, that was quick.Secondly, just a general comment on the other comments below, it is nice to see some manners and decent discussion. If a mistake is made, apologise and acceptance all round, no one calling anyone an idiot or lambasting comments.Good old British politeness, well done for keeping the internet a bit civil.Cheers from Down Under.
There is not a CPL at city centre anymore. Only Kirkdale, Southport and St Helens. All have a 68 plate now, except southport who still have the old one
@@northwestemergencyresponse9265 Yeah ive been there a lot, they only have 2 pumps now. One is day crewed and the other is crewed in the night by on call firefigters. The CPL was moved to Kirkdale a while ago, where it has recently been replaced by one like in this video
I think the FB across the whole of the UK need a massive upgrade of equipment...These trucks have been across Australia for the about a decade, but they're only rolling out in the UK now?
Upgrade of equipment? If only... In the last decade the uk has had austerity, 10,000 firefighters axed, dozens of fire stations closed, London has had 10 fire stations shut and second fire engines removed from another seven stations. Where I live the aerial platform no longer has dedicated night crew, so ALP attendance is sometimes from a station half an hour away.
Some cracking captures here Dragon! Nice to see the MFRS appliances responding, but (I guess I'm being a little bias lol) that was a great shot of the Octavia RRV screaming down the dual carriageway. Growing up in the 80s and 90s, anyone who said Skoda would one day be the go-to marq for NHS Ambulance fast response would have been accused of sniffing glue 🤣 Edit: When first posted I rather embarrassingly gave credit to Cobra (similar to Dragon, he also posts excellent quality emergency vids) this was an honest mistake due to sheer stupidity, mixed with a dash of "Nightshift Brain". No offence was ever intended to either content creator 😊

@@phaserblues8567 There is a lesson here for all of us Phaser; don't subscribe to a number of different emergency response vid channels, and then try to comment/congratulate several at once, especially on your first rest day after twelve hour nights 🤣
What's the fire station in the last clip please?? I mean the decision to have 2 ALPs (or CPL as you call them) at one station whether its resver or not is stupid

All fire engines do! The drivers tend not to use them in some counties.

I am from Merseyside we get the riot vans at football matches, and the CPL should be replacing the 58/57 plate at city center I think.

Yeah as Tom said its Kirkdale, and only one pf those CPL's was on the run at that time
